The reason is because the strawberry sent monomer still smells like monomer only thing was very little of strawberry a hint overall, this monomer glides on like butter and I’m very happy with the result that I came back ordering more I will be stocking up. So, where other "normal" level smell ones stick to clothes and are not easily contained, this one is. If you have a super sensitive nose, NOT for you. But if you can handle a strong smell in a ventilated room, then this one works. I can absolutely tell the difference between this low-odor and a normal, but that is NOT to say it still isn't STRONG. As for the product itself, sets in about 30-45 seconds, is completely cured in about 2-5 (temperature variation). This products is exactly as described. This monomer is definitely low odor compared to standard monomer. Low odor does not mean odorless. The smell is significantly less abrasive than standard monomer and great if you are working in smaller/less ventilated space. I very much so appreciate the authenticity of this brand and conscious efforts to make professional good quality products available. I've been licensed for 10 years and focused on hair and makeup vs nails and can appreciate being able to easily obtain these products. Pros: As a total beginner, this monomer (with some powder from the same brand) is extremely easy to use! I'm actually shocked at how good of a result I got. Easy to apply, dries very quickly, easy to file into a nice shape. Cons: This stuff REEKS!!! IT SMELLS SO BAD I COULD CRY!!! I don't know if it's my batch or what but I'm currently running two fans with the windows wide open trying to get that smell out of my room, it's HORRIBLE. If this is what's considered "low odor", man I don't even know. Surely a "high odor" monomer would strike me down then! Like it's nauseating! Don't be an idiot like me and do it in your bedroom! Note: I didn't really look to close at the size of the product on the listing, I just chose the smallest amount they had. The bottle is quite tiny, good for if you're just a hobbyist. Final Verdict: If you're working in an extremely well ventilated area then I'd recommend this product. Like I said, super easy and beginner friendly. Me personally? I triple bagged it and threw this stuff away immediately after I finished. I have zero plans to use or purchase this again. I have used all of this before leaving a review. I got roughly 15 acrylic sets of different lengths, mind you I was learning how to do acrylics so if you know what your doing you will get more out of it. Personally it dries on the slower side, I really liked that in the beginning but now it's driving me crazy. The odor!!!! The odor is absolutely horrible, I had a headache the first 3 days, and my sinuses have been going nuts ever since using this product, it is not low oder and yes I compared to other monomers. If you are learning it's a great product, however the price to me is a little pricey for learning so it's a toss up. If the smell wasn't so strong I would buy it again. ... show more
