When I tried gel extensions for the first time a couple years ago, I used the liquid gel glues that were available at that time. I find those really difficult to work with and difficult to clean up. If you try to clean it, it starts pulling off the nail, getting everywhere and I always had issues with overflow at the cuticle and underneath the free edge. Not to mention the bubbles and lifting. As soon as I finished the set the nails would start lifting and popping off. I saw a new product from BTArtBox that was basically gel extensions pre painted with a French manicure and they looked so cute and easy that I wanted to try again. I had seen solid gel glue while buying other nail supplies on Amazon and decided to give it a try, so I ordered this one. I am super impressed with the quality and ease of use Makartt provides us with this product. So far it has lived up to its promise of easy application. I get a lot less overflow with this and it’s easy to clean up with a cuticle cutting tool or efile. It does stay in place a lot better than regular extend gels when curing. I have not had an issue with air pockets, bubbles or lifting. I had my first set on for about 6 days then I decided I could make it look better. It was kind of rushed and I took it off. The picture is my second set using this glue and French gel tips and I think it’s going to last about 3 weeks. With this product it is easy to get the tips right up to the cuticle because it doesn’t overflow too much. It is way easier than the regular extend gels and it conforms perfectly to ridged nail with no bubbles or orher issues. If I am unsatisfied with the longevity of the gel glue now that I have done this second set perfectly, I will definitely update my review bur as of now I am really satisfied with the product. ... show more

I purchased the thick gel which works it’s just super annoying to dig out but this does not have the same type of hold the quality is so bad barely any adhesion I had to hold down on my nail while under UV light for it to stay on the my nail bed obviously making it less effective. There was air pockets in a few nail, (the ones I manage to get on ) and yes I prepped my nail(filed, dehydrated nail, and applied the primer) it’s sucks I got it today to use today and it was an epic fail. I’m really pissed I’m attempting it again cause I kinda have no choice right now but this was supposed to be more convenient not even less convenient than the tub. Deserves no stars ... show more

I love the fact that you get 2 tubes and they will last because a little goes a long way. If the nails last for 2 weeks, I will come back and give the extra star. I gave 4 stars for ease of use! This uv gel is so easy to work with on full cover tips. Apply in the well of the tip near the cuticle at a 45 degree angle and press the tip forward. No air bubbles whatsoever! The thickness of the gel helps to keep the nail in place so you can do some light clean up with isopropyl alcohol. It made using my non-dominant hand much easier. I also found that even though it is rubbery, I can use an e-file to loosen the glue the glue around the cuticles and then just pick it off. Didn’t stick to my bits and was easy to clean off. Once I found the correct amount to use, this problem was minimal or non-existent, which sped up the time it took to do the set. I did use a bond and base gel to apply the glue and so far they feel extremely sturdy! Can’t wait to see if it lasts as long as I need it to because if it does then this will be the only glue I ever use. Update: I came back and gave the 5th star. I had the nails on for a little over a week and I didn’t see any sign of lifting from any area of the nail, even the sides. They were still just as sturdy as the first day I put them on. I am now on my second set and am sure they will last 2 weeks or more. I will get tired of my set before a nail lifts off on its own, no doubt. Be sure to properly prep your nails, clean up your cuticles and this glue will stay on forever! This glue is EXCELLENT. After years of doing my own sets and using so many different types of glue, this is the one for me. I will be stocking up! Side note: I am horrible with removing any type of products with a file and always damage my nails so I ALWAYS soak in acetone. I did the same with this. Filed most of it off and then let them soak with clips and cotton balls, making sure to keep them wet and voila! The glue will become jelly and you can scrape it off and use a hand file to get any small bits that may be left over, or just do a double soak session. Just be sure to show your natural nail and cuticles some extra love after. ... show more

First I should say, this nail glue works really well but only if you prep your nails correctly. Make sure you clean up any cuticle off of your nail plate and be sure to dehydrate your nail. Use a primer on your natural nail and then the glue in the tube to adhere your nail tips. Now for things to know about this glue. 1. All of these thick glues that come in a tube have a rather strong chemical smell which eventually goes away. 2. This glue, while it adheres the nail tip well, it does not dry hard but rather more like rubber. 3. The nails will last a while with proper prep. However, removal is a challenge. I use full cover nail tips and to remove them , I use the soak off method. While the gel tips melted off, the glue itself does not seem to respond at all with 100% acetone. 4. To remove the glue, I have had to use my e-file with a mandrill and medium sanding band. The glue kind of pills up and it makes your e-file skip a bit while it’s being removed. It takes effort and quite a bit of care to remove the glue. You have to be careful not to file down your natural nail plate and to not file your live skin around the cuticle while using the sanding band. That said, the glue works quite well, prevents bubbling and is easy to use. I gave it 4 stars because it does exactly what it says but it is definitely not a soak off ... show more

This is probably the best glue I have found. Just put it on the nail and press it to your natural nail, then use a clip to hold it down and cure for 90 seconds and it holds for a long time. The directions say to use the polygel basecoat first but it doesn't hold as long with that for some reason. The only downside for me is that I am allergic to it :( ... show more
