The size should be good for her for for a long time as she grows. The turquoise color is not "girly". it's like the greener turquoise stones. She's not wearing the collar yet because, although the width and thinness of the webbing are good, it is rather coarse and "scratchy". I'm going to put it in washing machine with jeans/heavy stuff and hope it softens up. Durability isn't really an issue with us for this because it will be worn mainly to hold her ID, rabies & city tags and to have something reflective on her so she can be seen in the back yard when she goes out at night to do her business. She'll take walks in a soft harness. The leash is fine, same thin webbing, and has the padding inside the handle and the D ring for poop bag holder. If the larger sizes are the same quality of webbing I don't think it'd hold up well for walking a rambunctious or very strong dog/puppy. Glad it was inexpensive $5 set, would have returned it if it had costed more. ... show more

I needed a lightweight collar for my puppy, but this collar does not retain its size. It gets bigger easily as my puppy moves and scratches, so it’s useless.
