I think this desk gives great bang for the buck. The wood is very pretty and just the right amount of thickness. The metal pieces are also thick, well made, and screw together smoothly. Although the directions are not the easiest to follow, a major plus is that they use the same size screw for almost everything. The only slight downside to this desk is that I did not realize the file drawer fits in sideways. To get into my files, I have to take out the whole (light, nicely sized) drawer and put it on top of the desk to sort through it. It's worth the trouble though, to have such a little desk that fits perfectly into my small room. Nice desk. Steel frame is very sturdy. Wood grain is nice-not cheap looking. I needed a file drawer, so this was perfect. All in all, money well spent. I would like to add, the instructions were clear and well written.

The desk is VERY small, perfect for tight corners and small spaces. It is much smaller than I thought it would be, but that is my fault for not taking a second look at the dimensions. In any case I love the quality and look. It is sturdy. The fabric drawers are deep and slide easily. Rather than use it for my desk, I will use it for my sewing table.
