This "MagSafe" style cord by Hugener is an adequate replacement or spare power cord for your MacBook Pro (I believe it doesn’t work for a certain 2022 MacBook models so double check whether it’s compatible with your laptop). It is the same length as the OEM Apple power cord, although it retains small kinks and bends more than the OEM Apple cable. But it serves its purpose just fine as a second power cable that I can leave at home dangling from my desk and threaded between it and the wall wart down below, allowing me to pack the OEM Apple cable in my laptop bag for use on the road. Not to mention it's a much easier on the wallet, I’ll tell you what! When I had only a single cable, I’d have to crawl under the desk to pull out the power cord and then when I got home, I’d have to run the cord down the back of the desk and crawl under the desk again to plug it back in to the wall wart. Magnetic 3 Rotating Cable USB-C 6.6FT Compatible with M4/M3 Air Pro Charger, 140W Magnetic Safe 3 Cable for 13"/15" 2025/2024/2023/2022, Pro 16"/14" 2024/2023/2021 This listing indicates it is a specific magnetic safe cable designed for a specific laptop for charging. It states that it is rates for 140w charging and clips on with strong, secure magnetic connections with a rotating magnetic end for the laptop that is rated for over 20000 bends and a high visibility LED indicating charging measuring 6.6 ft. Length - First let's measure the cable, the cable length itself without the actual end tips is 6.4 ft or approximately 2m in length so the measured length matches what is advertised. Charging Speed - Putting this cable on the USB tester immediately the cable was detected as a high speed charging cable with appropriate e-marker chip for the specific laptop they are designed for. Over 20 independent charging attempts, the average maximum charge capability of the cable was 137.2w which is within the margin of error of the 140w indicated charge. The cable delivers maximum efficiency in charging between 90-120w of power showing it's cleanest delivery at that point. This cable contains no data transfer connections and none were detected by the USB tester. Temperature - under full load of the 20 tests, the cable tips hit high temperatures of 45.1*C which is significantly warm but not dangerously so. Under the load of about 90-120w, the cable did not get higher than 37*C. Flexibility/Durability - the cable is comprised of a high fiber count braided covering and the cable itself appears to be approximately 14 gauge in thickness of the overall cable (not the internal lines). The cable includes a cable tie with it making storage quite neat and orderly. The cable does bend fairly efficiently but I did find that it kinks rather easily and maintains whatever bends you do to it which could either be a benefit or a problem. The head of the cable that connects to the laptop is a magnetic rotation which leads to additional flexibility. I do have a concern about the long term viability of the rotational component but after 3 weeks there has been no signs of wear or tear. Magnet Strength - testing the magnet strength with a gauss meter appears that this magnetic end is a N45 magnet which provides at minimum the same magnetic connection that the stock cable came with and that means that you will have both maximum connection strength along with safety in case that so or someone should pull on the cable that it will not pull your laptop off the desk. The cable price is a bit steep for the length of the cable, if this was a 10 foot cable, it might be a better value for the money but this cable features a unique rotating head that the stock cable does not. This cable is specifically designed for someone who needs a replacement cable that has additional flexibility in it's mounting ability. ... show more

I have my MacBook in a stand vertically most of the time, so being able to rotate the power cable downwards works much better and it also looks a lot cleaner as the cable doesn't protrude outward unlike the original one. It has a durable metal shell surrounding the magnetic connector that looks to be well made. The power connection has been stable as I've noticed no issues and the LED on the connector also indicates the charging status. In all, it's a well built and great quality cable with plenty of length to it. Makes for a great alternative to my original cable. Did I need it, no, not really, I already had a spare MagSafe cable. Am I glad I got it, most certainly, I really like the rotating connector. ... show more
