this is a reasonably good barrier to the suns rays. it seems to reduce the heat by 10F so far this spring. it's not a super tight fit and not 100% light blocking. The previous brand we bought and will return had a tight fit and scratches the plastic around where the rearview mirror meets the windshield. the silver material in the previous brand transferred silver coating onto the black plastic parts of our new car. I think perhaps some space is needed to prevent the scratches. The silver coating may also be less able to transfer to plastic on this magnelex brand. we are happy this new one does not scratch the car and does a reasonably good job. the magnelex does not have velcro to close the area around the review mirror and you need to point the car's sun visors oddly to keep it from falling - that is okay compared to the scratches with the other brand. good luck!

I’ve been in market for a car sunshade for quite a while. I’ve had a couple and to be honest, this is probably the safest option I’ve seen. I live in Vegas and the temperatures got HOT. When I’m done from work and get in my car, it feels like I can bake a cake. This sunshade really gets the job done. The look and feel is very good. It fits my car perfectly, for a Lexus ES 330. The installation is pretty simple and the instructions given are pretty straight forward. It is also very easy to remove and store. It looks exactly like in the pictures, it has that reflective silver color. Overall, a great sunshade with a great price.

I was undecided about ordering the right size. Some sites said a medium would fit, others said large size. I figured larger was better than too small and I guessed right. Also, others had said the material was flimsy and came apart easily. I could feel how that could happen as the material is very thin. However, was a little care, it should last. The black out of the sun immediately made the cab cooler. I’m hoping it lasts a few years.

Well it fits. It takes a lot of fussing with to get it to perfectly sit into the whole window and block all the light, and even then it sometimes falls out of the window after a while. While it does do what it says, it just doesn't do it well. There may be a sweet spot to the positioning that I haven't found yet, but I will keep trying. I bought this for Lexus RX350 if you're wondering what size windshield I'm using it on. There might be better fitting shades out there possibly, but the price was decent so it will stay. I can't speak on durability yet, it's only been a few days, thickness I guess is fine, temperature is definitely decreased when using. Just frustrating and not very speedy to use.

I bought this for my Rnage Rover Evoque, because it said it would fit just fine. Oh my, it’s huge and almost too big to work for my windshield. It’s sturdy, and easy to set up, but since it’s too big it overlaps under my rear mirror so I have to do a lil finagling to get it to sit correctly. Still using it cause it’s pretty wonderful, I tell ya that.

This shade does the job. I measured our car windshield and ordered accordingly (we do not have a standard American car), but seems the shade is a bit small as it doesn't quite wedge in under the sun shields. That said, if you are ordering according to a specific car model you may get the right size. Otherwise the shade is well made and does the job.
