I looked at so so many options when it came to the exhaust of my 1.8 Turbo beetle. This set is by far the best way to go! Everything is made just right for your bug! The quality is top notch as well! I have done a ton of up grades to my turbo beetle , both big and small, so when it came to the exhaust, I did not want to skimp! The sound is just perfect as well! The tone is throaty and low but not outrageous like some other systems. If you have done your homework and put together a nice free lowing intake, definitely go with this system for opening up your output to go with your intake! You can not run a baffled muffler on a turbo system, it will cause a resonance back pressure-waves inside the exhaust , so you have to run an open straight threw set up, and that is just what this is! Fantastic. I was hesitant to put a Magna Flow system on a VW Beetle with the 2.0 engine w/ 5 speed manual (I put the complete system on, including the MF down pipe and cat converter), and couldn’t be happier. The car has a low, deep rumble to it; not too loud, but not exactly quiet either. At the same time I added an high flow oiled air filter (one that simply replaces the stock) and immediately noticed a huge increase in performance. Being the ‘2 point slow’ engine, with a manual transmission, the 12 hp boost made a huge difference in both acceleration and speed at a given RPM & gear. It’s still not a hot rod by any means, but it’s made driving my bug a much more pleasurable experience. Absolutely love it! ... show more

2001 New Beetle Sport (turbo) The flexible connection on the down-tube from the turbo separated and rather than replacing with the stock VW pipe I bought the Magna Flow. This pipe includes the catalytic converter and I also bought the "cat back" system. I had the two items delivered directly to my local tire and brake shop and they didn't have any difficulty. The advantage of having a hoist cannot be minimized. The old system off and new system on in 90 minutes. My wife say the sound is, "cool dude loud" which is what I was hoping for. The turbo spools quicker so, seat of pants, it feels like a increase in performance. I have experienced a 2-3 mpg increase in the first three tanks of gas so far over my previous average. ... show more

There was one nut missing and I wish it would have included the mid splited tube connector to the catalytic pipe to have a closed sealed or or optional for the vehicle model. I Had to go out and look for one, in the middle of nowhere, and it was no where to be found optional use a reduction electrical pipe and heavy duty clamps to seal those ends. Worked very well. My only complaint is the adapter to connect to the existing cat. Wasn't included.

Very simple to install. I have a 2000 golf 2.0 and the old one came right out and the new one went right in. The only difficulties I had was getting the muffler on the hangers.

The exhaust came in and looked amazing, I haven't had issues with it or any complaints. I was honestly suprised to recieve an email from the seller just asking to make sure it would fit my vehicle before sending it out. Amazing service, would definitely order other parts from them again.
