I am rating this system 5 stars for it's fit and appearance. It installed in 20 minutes but required cutting of the factory exhaust for removal. As far as sound it is very low. I believe it is only slightly louder than the stock exhaust and is almost unnoticeable in the cab when driving windows up or down. Even driving next to a long walled corridor with the window down it is hard to hear. I really like it but if you are looking for a monster roar this is not the exhaust for you. Maybe it will improve as it "breaks in" but I'm am happy with it for now. ... show more

I installed this on my 2017 5.3 Silverado along with a CAI. The sound is a satisfying muffled rumble much like the sound an inboard boat makes with its exhaust under water. The installation was a simple enough bolt-on, and power and fuel mpg gains were significant. With that said, I'm deducting 2 stars because the paint began chipping away from the exhaust tip within a few weeks. Now, after 1.5 years, I'm having to have the exhaust tip replaced because it looks like it has 300k miles on it. As for ease of installation and performance gains, I'd give this 5 stars; however, I'd give only 1 star on appearance, as the black paint chips so easily. ... show more
