I purchased this system for my wife's 2010 Chevy Equinox as the factory exhaust developed a hole along the weld seam of the resonator. Prior to buying this system, I took the vehicle to the local dealership and was quoted a little over $1000 for the repair. This was due to the fact that after the catalytic converter pipe, the system is all one piece. Therefore, rather than just replacing the resonator, the whole exhaust beyond the cat-pipe would need to be replaced. For this reason I started to research exhausts and came crossed this system from Magnaflow. On the MF website it does state that this system fits both the GMC Terrain and the Chevy Equinox(same platform), even though Amazon only has the Terrain listed. The install was fairly straightforward, although the directions are somewhat subpar compared to other exhaust manufacturers as there are no pictures to assist. The only real issue that came up was the factory band clamp that MF says to reuse to attach the intermediate pipe to the cat-pipe. This clamp was so rusted that it had seized and therefore was unusable. This was solved quickly by calling MF and requesting that they send another band clamp, which they did at no additional cost and it arrived 3 days later. Fit and finish of the system is perfect as the hanger posts line up perfectly. Also, spacing for the entire system is perfect as it does not come close to touching anything. The system is very well engineered. Of course after I completed the install, I took the vehicle on its initial test drive. Sound difference is negligible. The system sounds almost stock, which on a family vehicle like an Equinox quiete-ish is exactly what you want. In addition, the vehicle seems like it has a little more get-up-and-go, but this could all be in my head. In summary, I would definitely purchase this system again and MF customer service helped greatly with the one issue I had with the system. The system looks great on the vehicle as it comes with a beautiful 4" stainless steel tip that should have come on the vehicle from the factory in the first place. I definately recommend giving this system consideration if your Equinox or Terrain's exhaust fails because, in my opinion, you will get a much better system for a couple hundred bucks cheaper than replacing your failed system with another factory assembly. ... show more

Completely removed the whiny 4cyl sound in my 2012 Equinox LT. Love the throaty gurgle. Sounds great on startup too! Noticed a bit more oomph while accelerating.
