Magnatiles have been a top toy in my house for the past 8 years. My kids, ages 1-9, all love playing with them and I love that it’s something they can all play together. Over 8 years and hundreds of tiles, we have only had to throw away 3 tiles that appeared to be cracking, and only out of an abundance of caution. We’ve never had any exposed magnets even though they are constantly being stepped on and dropped from heights of giant creations. I feel safe letting my 1 year old join in on the fun. We really liked this set for several of the new pieces - the spiral staircases, the balconies, and the fancy door. We also loved the colors and sparkle of the tiles. Our family is mixed on the micromags - we’ve noticed some polarity issues with the new little tiles. They seem to work okay when combining them with the original sized tiles, they just often need to be reoriented when trying to build with other micromags. My personal recommendation would be to not buy this set just for the new micromags. They aren’t the best for building and you don’t really get any substantial quantity either. There are other new sets with more micros if that’s what you really want to try out. But if you are interested in the sparkly castle pieces and new staircases and balconies, this is a fun set to build with!

Our family is a big fan of magnetic tiles and when we saw these we couldn't pass it up. We have a couple set of the animal ones from this brand and love those so we wanted to try these out. We have a 4-year old and 1.5 year old that both love building and using their imagination with magnetic tiles, these take that to a new level. The colors are so fun and a nice pop to the collection. The added pieces of stairs and an opening drawbridge stye door have opened the world of possibilities with the kids. These pieces don't only build a great castle for my child to play with their unicorns in, but also a perfect rocket ship with opening door and cave for our bears.... the possibilities are endless. This is a great addition to an existing magnetic tile collection or a great starting point for those who are new to the fun!

I feel like a broken record, but magna-tiles really are the best magnetic tiles on the market. This set is so cute and pairs so nicely with the 25 piece set that also came out at the same time. We have both sets and use them to build big castles. I LOVE the spiral stair case attachments. My son just likes building big buildings or ships. These tiles work great with off brand magnetic tiles. We have no complaints. If I did complain about anything is that these are more expensive, but the quality is apparent when you compare them to off brand magnetic tiles. See for yourself. :)

My kids LOVE magnatiles, and this set delivered for them. They are really into Disney princesses and so they loved being able to build a castle with an opening gate and plenty of room to play with their princess toys. There are some different pieces in here that we haven't seen before in previous sets and so combined with some of their other sets it allowed them to build a really big castle with turrets and such. They love it, worth the price.

I ordered this to add to my child's magnet tiles collection. This set is compatible with the other magnatiles and most off brand tiles sets. They stick together nicely. I do feel that they are a bit pricey for only 48 pieces but I do like that these are pink/teal/ purple and yellow.
