    • do not be decieved by the "free sound pools", but i do think it is a decent product
there is nothing free about something that you can only download and use for personal use, there are no free sound pools that you can use outside of personal use, absolutely ridiculous, ... yes you can download the full sound pools for free to try, ... but if you want to actually use them, without worrying about the copyright demons/gods, you have to buy the "commercial royalty free" versions, beware of this with every sound pool, you have to make sure to click the "commercial royalty free" version if you want to actually use them in the world. The prices for many of the sound pools is not that bad, but it always costs more then the stated price to buy the "commercial royalty free" version . If there is no intention with sharing something with the world or publishing something online, or sharing it with anyone else, what is to stop anyone from experimenting with any song or movie or piece of art?! all of that being said, i have been a fan of Magix for a long time, i have used a few different versions of magix movie editing programs, i use to be familiar with a lot of the features and i knew my way around the program, ... even though all of them were horrible when it came to mixing down videos on a "windows pc", ... something about the programing. i don't remember ever having problems with music though. this Music version does come with some decent features, you do get a few cool tools with it. i am sure that i will enjoy the program. when i get more familiar with everything, i may buy some of the sound pools, the commercial royalty free versions, ... you have to pay to try them beyond the initial sample, and then buy them again to actually use them in the world, so it may be best to just jump in and buy the more expensive version straight away. ... i think all of the pools should be free to try, and on a time period, and then allow people to decide if they want to commit to buying the right to use them. Just my opinion ... last thing i want to do is get creativity going, and make something i think is awesome and then post it online to have future litigation and possible jail time, because i can't pay up or something... if i can't actually use something in the open world, it is not actually free to use is it?! ...and me thinking it is could get me in trouble couldn't it ?! ... show more

    • THEY TRY TO SELL YOU PREMIUM WHEN I BOUGHT PREMIUM
I DID NOT get what was promised Music Maker 2023 PREMIUM. Instead, I got a bunch of...download this and download that...and download Music Maker 2023 Premium...after I purchased Music Maker 2023 Premium. From what I have experienced Magix just wants to sell you there stuff... the same stuff you have already purchased...over and over again...And it is not a matter of computing power...I have a gaming computer 8 core Ryzen... 32 of RAM...so I am done with this brand for music creation. Now, I am going to read the installation document to see what stupid install step didn't install properly...I am of the opinion there installation is subpar, trash, and definitely not user friendly. Never had such a hard time with an installation...installing software from a disk is the easiest part...normally...when the install is finished...and you try to use the software all you get is buy Music Maker Premium...You think, I did. None of the stuff you think you get works you get nothing it all locked down...All it is...is buy, buy, buy...even before a person is able to use the MUSIC MAKER 2023 PREMIUM a person has already paid for regardless the price. Very unhappy with this purchase...as far as I'm experiencing it is a bate and switch...to get you to buy what one just purchased and believed was being installed...again for $29.99. 😡😡😡😡 ... show more

The other reviewers are correct; this barely functions on Windows 11. This is the software that got me into music, but it's going downhill a bit quality-wise. I'm assuming it's okay on Windows 10, and then it's really decent software for beginners. The amount of bugs I've been seeing reported though is unacceptable. ... show more
