Very cool… hate that the price is going through the roof due to fake manufactured scarcity… but the product is fun and was in great condition… pretty decent little starter decks also… great for people just getting into the game! I’m giving this five stars because it wouldn’t be right to the seller for me to dock them for this… But I just wanna let people know. This product was supposed to cost $19.99. It did cost that for a while. Then, wizards of the coast did the same thing they did with the Lord of the rings and said that there was only going to be one print run of the product. This sent everyone into a buying frenzy and all of the prices for the product have gone through the roof.. coincidentally, wizards of the coast is selling their own product on Amazon, at this ridiculously inflated prices, purposely shipping local game stores less product that those stores ordered already… so that they can fulfill Amazon orders where customers have bought directly from them at escalated prices due to this “fake scarcity” and cut out the middle man entirely. This actually caused one of my local game stores to have to close down… they couldn’t get product until customers were no longer interested in it… and as many people know, wizards of the coast ended up printing more Lord of the rings product, and I’m sure they will end up printing more Final Fantasy as well… they may add a couple new art styles to the collector booster packs, they may take away the serialized cards, and give the new collector boosters some new type of name… But at the end of the day, they will release more. The reason why I’m telling everybody this is simple… These are really cool starter decks but they are not worth 40 or $50…. I think I paid 30 or 35 for this and I don’t really think it was worth that… My pre-order got canceled elsewhere and so I wasn’t able to get the product for the $20 I was supposed to get it at… that is not this seller’s fault. They had a right to charge more for it if they wanted, and they got the product out to me quickly. In fact, this seller got me the product faster than I had anticipated. But I just want to let everybody know… If you don’t find this product in the $20-$30 range… I would not buy it. $35 would be the absolute maximum I would pay and that is if you are a Final Fantasy nut like me… wizards of the coast will almost certainly print more and even if they don’t print any more of these starter decks, the price will eventually go back down once the hype has calmed down. The value is simply not there for this product. It’s definitely worth 20 or 30 bucks but that’s it.

Great kit for learning to play. For people trying to collect all the cards, there's some exclusive cards in these decks as well. Bought one of these for a friend, and I'm likely grabbing one for myself as well. It not only includes the pre constructed decks, but codes to put into MTG Arena to get the digital versions. The price as of the writing of this review is fair as well. I've seen people say this type of product used to be cheaper, and that's fine. I think $20 is a fair price. I've seen this same kit going for $40-55 in physical stores. Do NOT buy this at those inflated prices. One of the other reviews mentions there's no variety and all the boxes are the same. That's the point of the product! It's two pre constructed decks designed for two people to pick up and learn. It's not randomized booster boxes. Of course there's going to be some of the same cards in the decks. That's common for the game, unless you're playing Commander. This type of product has been around for 20+ years.

They are great, came in good condition. These are made for beginners to pop open shuffle up ( after sleeves I hope.) And play, right out of the box. The one star review really bothers me. They obviously know nothing about MTG. ALL Magic starter decks have always been the same.... Any deck that has a name (i.e. "starter" or "special delivery" or "limit-break") have always contained the same cards out of the box. Booster packs, or Booster decks (which don't really exist anymore) are the only randomized thing really... and that is just gambling with extra steps. Is this set a WOtC cash grab? Yeah. But Why not look at the Commander decks, Premium all foil decks? Hidden lairs? What isn't a cash grab? Please don't dissuade people just because you have no idea, or are just trying to lower the overall rating. I actually hate it. There is no way anyone should find that helpful.

This card set provides unlimited fun for those into magic, creatures, and powers. Those strongly interested in strategy games will enjoy Magic the Gathering. I am new to Magic the Gathering and had never played before purchasing this card set. The instructions were very helpful in introducing this novice to the many complex strategies in Magic. Successful play of the game requires the ability to closely follow instructions. The game itself has instructions and each individual card has specific details about gameplay and how each card interacts with others. You must pay attention or you will lose the game.

Seems like most of the negative reviews aren't really getting what this product is... Has two decks that are playable for beginner players. I'm fairly new on the Magic bandwagon and don't have a ton of lands to work from, so my daughter was scrounging for some lands for a deck. These decks are great bases for decks and provide enough lands that you can repurpose the cards later on. If you're buying this for a beginning player then it's great. If you're buying this as a collector, then look elsewhere.

Straight up they put 4 cards in this deck that are only in the starter deck one being Beatrix, Loyal General when you go to combat you may attach all the equipment cards you want to her. Take her from this starter deck and add it to the cloud commander deck and the other cloud from the set and you have three deadly cards that take advantage of equipments in your deck. Also the bundles have cards that are only in them.

Love the art and this is a fun expansion for mtg. If you already like Final Fantasy and mtg, these are a no-brainer. Only downside to the starter kit is you get a black/blue deck and a red/white deck. If you wanna play green, get a different kit. If you're new or it's been a while, these are lovely.
