  • Better quality, better pulls
I bought 4 fallout collector booster boxes. I have bought many other collector boxes in the past. Recently I purchased kamigawa, phyrexia: AWB1, MOM, commander masters, etc. Out of all my purchases this one had the best quality cards. Some of them are a thicker stock and the bending on foils is less than usual but still a problem. I saw minimal print lines and a lot of the valuable cards are non-foil which is a bonus. When I pre-ordered mine they were $180 each. This was great value, I would estimate the cards in each box for me were worth 300-400. I would say at their price at the time of my review (399) you will break even at best unless you pull a serialized card. I pulled a serialized bobblehead worth 700-1500. I would assume most people will take a decent hit on these and lose money. However, it is very worth it if you are a fallout fan. Some of the vault boy and pip boy prints are fantastic. I attached a few of my favorites for reference. The reprints are very viable too. This set contains more usable reprints than I am used to seeing in sets. Things like vandablast, inexorable tide, and ruinous ultimatum. Overall, I am much more satisfied with these collector boxes than I am with the ones I have previously purchased. tl:dr cards are good quality, you'll probably lose money, good reprints, good cards for fallout fans. ... show more

  • Cool crossover
I like collectable cards and fallout so I had to have some of these. Wish the print run was reduced and price so high. Some of my other orders even got canceled. Prolly won't get anymore magic cards for a bit lol.

  • Great for the original day one price, dodge otherwise.
I would not purchase it now as I got 2 boxes on day one for the price of 1 now. Don't pay the 400+ for these now.

  • Why are you buying this?
You have to ask yourself, "why am i buying this?". Well, if youre looking for serialized cards, showcase cards, surge and regular foil versions, or the special reprint Fallout art cards then spend away! If youre looking for play value, the usual range of commander deck sets, getting all of the "new" cards; then buy the commander decks. Buying all four yields all of the new cards in regular card/art form minus the commanders. One of the cool Fallout lore card sets in this are the "bobbleheads". There are seven of them and buying all of the sets will complete the set so effect bonuses. I personally like this Universe Beyond set and all products associated with it. Buy singles if there are key cards you like as i think $350 in singles would be better. Prices are stable for singles and the Fallout art reprints are worth a bit at this time, but not box cost range. Quality was better as some cards had rough edges. Card look and feel are good, packs were easy to open. Some cards in this universe may have a tough time synergizing with other sets, much like Dr. Who and theres hope future sets will mesh. Energy is back btw so check those Aether Revolt and Kaladesh cards! Cost on this product is a bit high, much like Lord of the Rings when it released. I dont recall any cards of "Orcish Bowmasters" stature in this set (yet). Good luck! ... show more
