First it came in a black box and in packaging nothing like the picture which is fine because how it works is all that matters. Magic tape? Eyyy. Depends. I tried it on a plastic hose with a known 25psi running through it. It failed to stop the leak. Once over the hole wrapping several times it began swelling making a giant bubble. At that point I turned off the water to stop the pressure. So stopping a leaking hose? Maybe just don’t have it under pressure. Next I wrapped it over a hole with a plug in it that still leaked in the same hose. It didn’t seal it 100%. Made it leak less but water still found its way around the “magic self fusing” tape. It’s exactly what it is. Cheap silicone tape. No better and no worse than others with the exact same limitations all tapes of this kind have. It sort of works. I can’t give it anything other than 5 stars. It’s what I expected and not “magic.”

Where's this been all my life? It really stretches as you wrap it and it fuses to itself. I used it to wrap around the ends of the USB and other cables to strengthen the ends where the ends of the cables and connectors meet. Strengthened my phone charging cables in the cars and the cables for the Garmin units and radar detectors. For electrical purposes, this tape is perfect. As for plumbing, I'd include a reinforcement to plug a leak in a pipe. Perhaps using a piece of innertube to cover the actual leak and secure the innertube by wrapping this tape around it. I am so impressed with this tape that I bought another one as a back-up.

I live in a high calcium water area and the garden hose is stuck on the spigot but it leaked. I used this tape to keep the water from leaking.

This tape is useful for specific purposes. As it shows in the product listing, many of the primary uses are to wrap it around handles of various tools/items in order to provide an excellent non-slip grip. But the claim that this could be used to fix a water supply pipe where you have high-pressure water leaking from it, no that is not going to happen. Maybe, if you manage to turn the water off, get this tape on it, and then get a metal hose clamp directly over the hole, you might have something useful for temporarily stopping a leak until you can get a permanent fix. However, if you have some weeping from a drain, where the water isn't under pressure, then it will probably be useful for that type of situation. Otherwise, best use is the other cases listed in the product info.

The last headphones I had came apart at the place where the bow attaches to the cups. I got this to prevent that. It stretches very well which insured that it wrapped thay joint tightly. I believe that it will make my headphones solid for years. I think It is a good product at a good price.
