For the price point, I was expecting something fairly cheesy; however, I fairly impressed with it. It is a cutsie kids camera but I would not call it a "toy" camera as it seems strong enough to handle the abuse that it will be associated with by both being used by kids and outside/in the water. The quality of the pictures and video is good, expecially considering the price. The menu system may be a little difficult for a kid. The game is snake, not a very exciting game so I don't think that is a special aspect. I'll be a while before I can try it out in the wild, so I filled the sink with water to test the underwater aspect. The camera worked and still seemed to take a decent photo. The settings do allow for the interactive clicking to be turned off when using the menus. Even with that turned off, the camera does make a sound when a photo is taken and has a tune that plays both when the camera is turned on and off. In the grand scheme this may be a good thing. Be mindful of it being in your child's hands during a time meant to be quiet. There is a mount hole on the bottom for use with a tripod or other device. Lastly there is an "SOS" button at the bottom of the controls which causes a light to flash. this is a blessing in the phone era. it's great for kids to use a camera..as a camera or more to the point, an action camera hint : it's also good on boats for adults when you don't want to have your phone out over the side, etc I with the interface options were a little more streamlined. Truth be told, I have not yet had a chance to run this thing fully through its paces. These are only initial impressions. First, it's a small kid-size camera with small kid-size controls. The camera comes with the memory card already installed. It also comes with a wrist strap. A charging cable is included. It's very easy to access the charging port and the memory card. The camera IS waterproof, but only if the cover to the charging port/memory card is fully closed. Picture quality is impressive for the price point. There are some built-in special effects and a game that should appeal to young kids. This is something that would be loads of fun for kids on a beach or lake vacation. ... show more

After first use in pool it lost power from what I assumed was use. Two weeks after vacation I tried charging it and both the camera charging port and the charging cord melted with water vapor appearing behind the screen that wasn’t visible previous to charging. This phone comes pre-charged and ready to swim with. I took this for an afternoon swim in the ocean, and was pleased to see how easy it was to use and especially happy that it floats. It took pretty good photos underwater and above water, and it was really easy to switch from photo to video by just long pressing the shutter button. It was also easy to view photos with way to use menu. After the afternoon in the water in the Sun, I did notice some condensation on the viewer screen. This cleared up by the next day. We thought an underwater camera would be a fun idea for the summer. This camera worked, but the pictures were a little underwhelming. The box also said it came with the sd card, which was not my experience. If I had the s d card, I probably would have given this three stars.

Not going to say this is stellar by any means, but it is fun and it does seem to be good for doing underwater photography if you're just a kid wanting to take pictures of your friends in a swimming pool. It does well under water, just be sure the rubber cap is in place where you plug in the USB-C cable. If a forgetful little one forgets to do that, as kids will do, it's toast. If you've used any of these cheap kids cameras coming out lately, you know what to expect in terms of functionality and how to operate it. Which is to say, awkward and not intuitive. The camera is really nice of good quality material. The kids have used it in the pool and at the beach and it had no issues. It’s really nice that it comes with rechargeable battery, you can charge it with a usb-c cable. It also comes with a SD card and that works great. We were able to connect it to our computer to download the videos, which made it really easy to use.
