Bought these for my 8 yr old who wears a size 3 1/2 shoe. Socks are tight in the calf and ankle like compression socks. Would be ok but the toe area is super large and bunchy. I got these for my daughter for her basketball games. The royal matches perfectly with her uniform! They are a little snug, but that may be just because they are new. She wears a 4.5-5 in shoes, and the fit was spot on. I appreciate the thickness as I know running back and forth on the court can definitely make your dogs bark, but I wonder if they can't be a little thinner with the same quality. So after buying 2 pairs of these in different sizes I will warn others. Nothing gets bigger in these socks but the FOOT of them! So if you want longer socks avoid these expensive ones! On my 11 year old they barely sit in the middle of her calf. They are SHORT socks.
