I was really excited to get this set, as I needed to stick in the Purple family due to existing artwork and window coverings in our bedroom. Because this was under $100, the color I needed, and I was having guests over the weekend I received it, I decided to keep this set; otherwise, the many cons would've sent this one right back. CONS: • Colors in product photo aren't even close to actual color of duvet. The purple is more lilac than plum and more "cutesy" than rich. • Size of duvet is inaccurately portrayed by product photo – the short length exposes the sheets/mattress on all sides giving the bed a messy look (I agree with other reviewers that the comforter is actually what's pictured, not the duvet). • The 3 decorative pillows included are super "low budget" and the bed looks sparse with just these alone. The color is actually a shade lighter than the purple in the duvet, which drives me insane. I added my pillows from my previous set to round these out (see photos) • Overall, the material is SUPER thin, like two very low thread count sheets were sewn together. You can see every bump in the duvet insert, and I don't anticipate this holding up well over time. The duvet cover set (the low rating for warmth is only because it's not intended for warmth -- it's just a cover!) is exactly as pictured and very pretty. I especially like that it's different from most duvet covers (and duvets) that are solid colors or an all-over pattern. The pillow shams and toss pillow compliment the cover beautifully. One caveat: if not used over a solid color duvet, this cover is a very fine cotton, and any patterned duvet will be visible, especially in the white parts of the pattern. I will admit this duvet is very pretty and fits well on your bed, but the quality isnt the best. I washed it and once you wash it i found that many of the seams unraveled. I have been sowing some of the pillow cases because the material has become lose in the seams. It has gotten fuzzy too, but all in all the material is nice and soft. I am torn between what rating to give it due to the seam coming apart. Funny enough this is my second order because the first order i received came with a huge hole on it too, the seam wasn’t done correctly. ... show more

I have to say I am disappointed. The items completely do not justify the price tag. The name "Madison Park" makes you think of Madison Avenue and sounds very luxurious and classy. But that's far from the truth. The pillows are lumpy and look extremely cheap. The colors don't look as elegant as the photos (there is a subtle difference -- it's hard to pinpoint but you can tell). Get rid of the pillows and sell it for 30 bucks -- that's what it should be. I eventually returned it the same day I got it. ... show more

Really nice, silly me didn’t realize it was a duvet cover. I thought it was a comforter haha. It worked out just perfect because it is on the lightweight side. I have diabetic feet and some bedding are too heavy and aggravate my feet, but this was perfect even without the duvet insert. So I am keeping it for that reason. This product is NOT 100% cotton as advertised. Only the top "street-side" portion is 100% cotton, the bottom portion that goes next to your skin or top sheet is a cotton-poly blend. This was VERY disappointing to me b/c I did not want to use a top sheet, and I only want natural fibers next to my skin. Cotton breathes which is important for night-time comfort. It is otherwise very pretty. I washed it once and it seems to launder well. I don't know how it will hold up because cotton/poly blends are notorious for pilling. ... show more

Good set for the price. The colors weren’t as vibrent as the photo but not bad. I was hoping for a cooler grey to go with our carpet (as pictured) but it was close enough to our old set that the pillows matched. It fit our duvet with about an inch and a half extra material on the sides. For those complaining that “it’s just two sheets”: Yes. It is.
