We bought several hundred of these (after first trying a single pack) to give a uniform look to all the closets in our new house and are completely satisfied with them. The quality is good (few rough edges and quite strong) and the cost was reasonable. Several reviewers thought the hangers were flimsy or would break. We prefer lighter hangers like these for most uses, like hanging shirts, pants, and light jackets. The hangers could easily cope with very heavy wool overcoats and heavy winter pants without breaking. However, we prefer to use heavy-duty hangers from the same manufacturer for very heavy items because they feel more stable and don't twist as much from the weight of the heavy clothes. We found that the top part of the hanger (where you hang shirts or coats) did not deform at all under the heaviest item we had (a full-length wool overcoat) due to the structure of the hanger. We found that the bottom portion (for hanging pants) deformed very slightly (but temporarily) under the heaviest pants (over about 1 pound) that we had, but not otherwise. We live in south Florida so the hangers are perfect for almost all of our clothes. I don't consider these hangers flimsy, but if you prefer a heavier and more solid (but also more expensive) hanger, you might want to consider the heavy-duty ones. I experimented to see how difficult it was to break the hangers. Depending on the angle of the force applied, I estimate it takes around 20-30 pounds of pressure. So I think you would have to be pretty rough with them, and apply the force at the angle where they are the weakest, to break them in everyday use. But it's possible. A small number of the hangers had a bit of sticky black, brown, or yellowish sticky material that had to be cleaned off. ... show more

Yes, I broke one of these hangers within an hour of taking them out of the box. Don't worry, it was on purpose. We didn't quite have room for all of these hangers, so I decided I'd be able to write a fully-informed review by seeing just how strong and flexible they were. I bent the bottom piece up until it touched the top, without any problems. Then the real test - I took the two corners (shoulders) and tried to touch them together. They didn't quite make it before breaking, but the two halves were pretty close to parallel by the time it snapped. It's funny - the material isn't quite as flexible as hangers I've bought at Walmart or Target, and feels like it's going to break much more easily, but apparently it doesn't. These hangers have all the features you want (strength, added support in the corners, little hooks to hang things from), and none of the ones you don't (those awful indentations that some have). They're also made in the USA, so that counts for a lot. You won't find very many cheap plastic things that are. And they're selling for the same price per hanger as many foreign-made designs. There's only two things I'd change. First, the quantity. These are great hangers, but who needs 60?? You don't realize quite how many that is until you try to hang them up. The only situation in which I could see someone needing 60 hangers is someone who's just starting out, and has nothing at all. If, like most people, you're just trying to replace some that broke, you definitely don't need 60. The manufacturer should make these available in different quantities. Second is the color. White is fine, but making a few different colors available would make a big difference. Many families use hanger color to organize their clothes (whose clothes they are, or type of clothes, or something like that). Making these in multiple colors would almost certainly increase their sales. But those negatives are very minor, and definitely something I knew when I bought these. They were the best value for the best quality of hangers without indentations, so I got them. All in all, it was a very good purchase, and I have no problem recommending them. ... show more

I am pleased with these hangers; however, compared to others that I own, I would consider them a medium weight as opposed to heavy. They are great for most clothing, but I will not use them for heavy clothing such as winter coats etc. They are smooth all over; therefore, they do not snag clothing such as knits and thinner items. They are well-made, durable and a good quality for the price. They do not easily become tangled with other hangers. They make for a good looking closet because they are all the same color.
