This was nice, but I returned it anyway. I've always liked shirts like this with rouching. I have a small waist and large chest and this style compliments my figure well. I have gained a few pounds, and this still looked ok. For reference, I'm 5'4", 157 lbs., and 38DDD. I ordered a Medium. It was a little more snug in my abdomen area than I'd like it to be. I saw a lot of similar shirts on Amazon, but with a boat neck; I chose this one for the V-neck, which I really liked for the purpose/event I wanted this for. In the chest area, it was not super fitted, it was more of a lose tee and I liked that. The fabric was soft, like a soft t-shirt. I ordered multiple shirts in this color. Others fit my needs better, so that is why I'm returning this one. However, I would order this again, in a different color, if the need arose. And maybe I'd size up to a L, but the plan is to lose a few lbs. ;-)

I am 5'1", 120 lbs. and 62 years young. I got a small, fit perfect, not clingy, soft fabric, very flattering. The gathered sides is what makes this flattering and since I am short, this top, where all the rushcing is, can be pulled up to my waist line almost making it like an empire waist so the shirt appears shorter which makes my legs look longer. If you are not so short waisted, the top is long enough that it can be pulled further down. I love the loose sleeve too. All and all very happy with this top and now will be ordering it in other colors. Cons: Hand wash

First, my shirt did arrive with stains. Although, I know this isn’t Amazon’s or manufacturer’s fault, but Amazon needs to check their returns to make sure the items are in good condition. I am assuming someone returned it; however, it still had the tag on it (although I’ve heard and seen people wear something they bought, hide the tag, and then return). Still tried it on to see the look of it. It’s exactly how it’s described and pictured. The blue color was perfect. Not thin at all nor is a cami needed. The problem is that the bottom ruching (or shirring) does nothing to help “hide” the waist area. The bottom of shirt is tighter than the rest of shirt, which is good since the top is looser and the tightness with the ruching would make an hourglass appearance. The sleeves and upper part of shirt were perfect size. Definitely not tight, but not too loose. Very comfy and not clingy at all. Perfect for hot summer days. If it wasn’t for the bottom part, I’d exchange it. Think it’d look better on my body without the ruching. Wasn’t flattering at all. I did buy my normal size. Some have said to order a size up, but that would be too loose and baggy for me. The shirt needs to remove the shirring and be longer to cover up our behinds or add more material for the ruching. Then it can hide your stomach, extra “tire”, etc. It could just be my body type. But I loved the feel and quality of the shirt. Which is hard to find for this price. .

I bought this shirt to replace a burgundy flutter sleeve blouse I bought from Old Navy. The shirts over there are all cropped, which doesn't work for me. Working in a school, I don't feel like wearing a crop top like my students are wearing. I was uncomfortable with the shirt and wanted something more modest. I was hesitant to buy this shirt because of some of the reviews. However, I'm glad I did buy it. I like the dolman sleeves. I was worried the ruching would accentuate my stomach area, but if anything it hid imperfections in that area. The material of the shirt was comfortable. I feel the shirt was true to size and modest. The neckline provides appropriate coverage and the length of the shirt is long enough to make me feel covered in the stomach area as well. It is loose fitting in the arms but clings to the chest and stomach area, but not in a bad way. I think it can be worn with jeans to dress down or you can wear it with dress pants for work. It was worth the price and good quality. I paired it with my olive pants and it looks really nice. I was also happy with the print on the fabric. I love daisies, so having that be part of the fabric print was also a plus. This shirt is machine washable. However, some of the other color options are hand wash only. I was disappointed with that because I would have bought this shirt in other colors if I didn't have to hand wash them.
