I haven't had a Madden game since Madden 11 for Wii. This game is so much better. Lots of fun, looks great. I love the skills trainer that has tutorials and drills for playing all of the different positions, plus football concepts, like how to attack a Cover 1, Cover 2, etc. I know some people are giving negative reviews because there are no significant changes from the 16 version, or it lacks some of the features of the PS4 version. But if you are new to Madden, or haven't gotten a new version for a few years, I think this is a great game. ... show more

Overall this is a solid game. Is it a little laggy and slow at times? Yes. Does it have the same graphics as the PS4 and Xbox One? No. Do I often put the TV on MUTE because the commentary is so bad/annoying? Yes. Is it the best Madden in recent memory on the PS3--one would have to argue yes. Recent Madden's have been nothing but rubbish. While this version is no where near on par say Madden 2005, it is still a fun game to play. For those who have not upgraded yet to a PS4, it is worth your consideration to play on a PS3 if you have not bought a Madden in the last couple of years. If you have a more recent version, you could probably just get away with saving your money. ... show more

It's been a few years since I played Madden, and I can say that this one is a major upgrade. The early PS3 Madden games were quite frustrating, especially when they changed Franchise Mode. The Franchise Mode on this one is very in-depth and fun to play. Super fast shipping, and this is by far the best-made Madden that I have played to date. EA Sports sabotage the Madden games in their final two years of the PS3 version by purposely making the Cleveland Browns uniforms wrong , along with a missing stripe on Indianapolis Colts uniforms oh, and they actually reverted the graphics to make it look even worse than previous versions of the PS3 Madden! EA Sports has done this stickable tactic every time a new Consul comes out? You can trace this back to the PS1 version of NCAA football 99 where they purposely made the Louisiana Tech home and away uniforms both White!? Then the PS2 when it was about to end the last four versions of it had the New England Patriots without any stripes on their home uniform pants making them all gray which was a definite purposely flawed game!? Sylvania have the PS3 version of Madden the last two games Madden 16 in Madden 17 with purposely flawed graphics and uniforms on Browns and the Colts! Bottom line I have it in my collection but I'll never play it? Crappy game EA put out just to force you to buy the PS4 version! ... show more
