Easy to install, the adhesive has stayed securely attached for 1 day so far. I would recommend not cutting it as short as they have shown in their diagram. I wish I would've moved it backwards and run it all the way to the end, as shown by the red line. In the last photo, you can see where it's dark in the left end of the sewing platform (left of my fingers). Maybe tape it in place and turn it on before cutting. I didn't do that so I didn't see what a shadow it'd cast by not running it all the way over. Still, 5 stars. It's bright, it's easy to use, the clips aren't going anywhere. I'll update if the adhesive fails in time, as has been the case for similar strip lights of a longer length. ... show more

I am not sure where I first saw this light strip, maybe on a YouTube "How To" video. I had to google a few different word combinations to find this light strip. It is AWESOME. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate this 'light hack' for my sewing machine. I have a Husqvarna which has a light directly over the needle and throat plate. It NEVER occurred to me that I could make my working area much more functional. The instructions are thorough and simple. I pulled the adhesive and stuck it to my machine. Being somewhat thrifty, I wasn't willing to cut off any of the LED strip to make a custom fit. So I used the entire strip and it winds down the back of my machine a bit. Completely functional for more light. I can thread the needle again!! The control strip is well designed and easy to use. The switch has a blue indicator light that is always on whenever the light strip is plugged in. There are simple push buttons to customize and adjust the dimming and brightness of the light strip. This is truly a game changer. Its so simple and affordable. When I attached it and turned it on, I was amazed at the immediate difference. I loved it! I sent one to my bestie who also sews. She loved it too! Do yourself a favor, get a brighter light for sewing. ... show more

Makes a huge difference in the lighting! Was easy to fit my machine. I taped the strip on to measure it perfect, cut it them pulled if the double sided tape on the back. Very easy. Love the clamps it comes with. Wish I would have gotten this a long time ago!
