I purchased this lipstick because MAC is frequently touted as one of the longest lasting brands. I've worn this one only one time so far, but it does seem to stay on. No complaints there. Quality aside, though, I'm writing this review to comment on the color. It's hard to judge a color when purchasing online, of course, so here's my take on it if anyone (like I was) is unsure if it is the red they are looking for. It is not a deep, dark red like it looks in the picture. It is not a blood red or even a rusty red. To me, it is a shade or two lighter than a classic red, and it has an almost pink/orange undertone that gives it some extra brightness. I want to like it, but it's just a little too glaring on me for daily use. It makes too much of a "look at my lips" statement for that. It would be great for evening, or for an intentionally bold look. If that's what you want, you're in luck. It is a quality lipstick. ... show more

I was first sent the wrong shade, so I had to return that. Then, as I was opening the correct one the lipstick completely popped out of the tube. I wasn't aggressive at all when opening it, so it must have detached itself somehow. As for the lipstick itself: (I got Russian Red) It is not moisturizing at all and I find I have to use lip balm before and after. The shade is definitely on the bluer side. It is definitely long lasting- which I appreciate. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this brand. It's very drying. ... show more
