I love these shorts. After my first pair, I ordered a second pair of a different color. And I'm wearing them as I write this. I like that these shorts have a short inseam. At 5' 7" I have shorter legs and these strike me just past mid-thigh. I personally hate the look and feel of shorts that hang to my knees or longer. The material is thick and stretchy. The Terry fabric on the inside is soft and comfortable, and being 80% cotton, they don't get too hot. The elastic waistband tends to hold them on, but the drawstring is superior. It's a wide, woven cloth band, 1/2 inch or better. So tying it doesn't easily lead to knots. Nor does it dig in after a couple of hours. The pockets are generous in front and it has a rear pocket too. But the pockets zip. No more wallet falling out or keys gone in the seat of the last booth you sat in. These are athletic shorts, but they are stylish enough with the tie, and pockets that when you match the socks and shirt, (avoiding grey sweats color), they look fine to enter cafes and coffee shops. Secure pockets, stylish looks and comfort -- it's all there.

My 23yr old nephew loves these shorts. He said they’re one of his 2 most favorite pairs of shorts now- he’s lived in St Thomas for 4 years so he has many. They are the perfect length for what’s in style and the material has a good weight and feel. He loves the color and I will most likely be purchasing additional ones. Younger generations are not easily impressed, but these were a home run.
