  • Sound clean as can be. The design is cool looking, light and compact. Love it!
Size: with 2 Mic Inputs Style: Interface only
Clean and powerful sound, light and compact design, and complete functionality. Looks very nice, fits anywhere, and has all the features you need for music recording, podcasting, livestreaming, etc. I had to buy this one last minute because another brand I was using suddenly stopped working. But I'm so happy I got this one. it arrived overnight too! :) ... show more

  • Free Software advertised not available. Poor tech support.
Size: with 2 Mic Inputs Style: Interface only
Okay, the product itself is fine. Seems to work well, easy to install. The problem is with the free software that supposedly comes with it. I received this item on November 2nd and tried to register it to get the free software and be eligible for support, but could not create an account. I requested help and got an email saying the the company did not support M-Audio (?), and to wait and they’d get back to me. 6 weeks later I got an email saying they could help me. I tried again and was able to create an account, but still could not register my product. I initiated a chat and was told that I was on the wrong website, even though I followed a link in the email. I went to the M-Audio website and had to request a password reset, which never came (which is odd because I was never able to create an account to begin with). The person I was chatting with said that could take 24 hours to get a password reset email. Initiated a return. Too bad, M-Audio used to be a good company. TLDR: adequate product, absolutely 0 support available. Impossible to get the free software that comes with it. If that matters to you, don’t waste your time ... show more

  • Pretty much what you pay for
Size: with 1 Mic Input Style: Interface only
It’s a great starting interface for anyone wanting to get their first one but a few things I’ve noticed about it are that: 1) The gain has a point where it feels like your mic goes from 2 volume to 15 just from moving the gain a little near the max 2) The gain feels either too loud or too quiet so maybe find a cheap preamp if you’re wanting some extra gain without it being too loud 3) The maximum input audio quality is 4100Hz instead of the most common 4800Hz so the audio you’re sending isn’t as good quality as most other mics but it’s to be expected from cheaper products All things considered it’s a great interface and gets the job done for most people wanting to get into XLR mics at a low cost. ... show more

  • M-Audios Warranty Policy (You should probably know this.)
Size: with 1 Mic Input Style: Interface only
The M-Track One Solo is a remarkable device up until the point where it begins to experience issues. In my case, it started raising the base of the microphones, and the volume knob wouldn't function properly with my microphones. The Røde NTG2 and the Shura SM7B. As a Streamer and YouTuber, this began to create issues for me. So I sent an email to their support team. I waited four days, and they never got back to me. So I had to call and speak to their customer service team. After speaking to them, I was prompted via email and told that. I need to supply. - The original packaging. - All original content cables, booklets, etc - Proof of Purchase They did supply a FedEx shipping label, but they also got my name wrong on the shipping label, and it felt like they didn't care about supporting their products. I also didn't have the original packaging the M-Track Solo came in either, which raised my concerns further. So I researched if they could enforce such a warranty policy. It turns out that M-Audio could be violating "15 U.S. Code § 2302 - Rules governing contents of warranties" in which they cannot implement unreasonable requests on consumers pursuing warranty claims. The Federal Trade Commission outlines this as "Requiring products be returned in their original packaging." among other things. When I spoke again to their warranty department. They told me that would not be a problem. But this was after; the fact that I raised my concerns on social media. The policy exists in their warranty booklets. So either the individual at the company, in my personal opinion. Is trying to discredit others from seeking warranties by adding discouraging stipulations in which they might not look further into the matter as I have. Or they are just unaware that the stipulation they are outlining in their warranty policy is not legally enforceable. Either way, ignorance is not bliss in this instance. As; for me, it paints the picture of a company that wishes to take your money and try to leave you with a non-functioning product. Either way, I leave this review both to inform consumers of this policy and to prompt change from the company itself. Because I feel a good company should stand by their products and make it very clear without the need to hide behind stipulations to discourage others from seeking repairs in their policy documents. ... show more

  • Good Quality with Great sound and but a Modest build and Audio Control
Size: with 2 Mic Inputs Style: Interface only
The media could not be loaded. The M-track Duo is a good sounding modest quality audio interface. In comparison to most other mid to high tier audio interfaces like the Focusrite or Senheiser lines of USB audio interfaces it stacks up if only by the simple draw back in the needed use of sound filters. The use of the filters is needed but only mildly in correct of background sound, distortion, and unwanted pops and filters from enunciating words or clipping from the recording distance. Paired with Behringer C1 Condenser mic and comparing it on a side-by-side sound test using the MXL Mic Mate, the difference are minimal. The only difference I could distinguish was a slightly warmer sound coming from the M-Track Duo. If you are using this for podcast, basic recording sessions, streaming, or even music production it is recommended, if only for the sheer fact that most of the sound can be corrected with Compression, Expander and Noise reductions filters Using your DAW(Digital Audio Work) Station (i.e. OBS,MMM,FL Studios, Ableton, Pros Tools) while recording or in post production in a mastering Suite. 4/5 only due to the light build and clipping issues at level ten(10) of the gain Nobs. (raw audio test with two(2) Behringer C1 mics simultaneously on both in-put channel (1)One and in-put channel(2)Two.) ... show more

  • Works on Linux
Size: with 1 Mic Input Style: Interface only
I purchased this in search for a cheap audio interface that would work on Linux, and this works perfectly with Ardour + ALSA backend. Some notes: * Very light. Sometimes it's nice to be able to throw a laptop + interface + mic & cables in a backpack for a portable studio. * Very low noise levels on recorded input with decent cables. ... show more
