This is an amazing product from Lysol! If you have hard water in your area like I do, then you won’t find anything better! It removes rust, hard water stains, lime scale, and just about everything else you may encounter. It is so simple to use, and you won’t wear your arm out from scrubbing! I apply this product under the rim, then give it about 5 minutes to work its magic. Then, I give it a light scrubbing with my toilet brush, and everything goes away with just one flush! Oh, and the scent is delightful! It’s a nice scent that permeates your bathroom. I highly recommend this product, and it’s the only bowl cleaner I use!

My house was built in the mid 1800s and my 2nd floor toilet bowl was a total mess. Stains. Water brown and murky. I'd try and use it as little as possible. Going in the bathroom just depressed me. I tried pumice stones and numerous other bowl cleaners. Nothing much happened. Buying this was a last resort. Now shining and white and clean post Lysol. I hope it works as well for you as it did for me. And so easy to use.

I've tried several toilet bowl cleaners that people have raved about for cleaning toilet bowls stained by water with high mineral content. This product worked best. Was it perfect? No, but it got out stains all of the other products didn't. My advice: 1. Get a water softener if you can, and use the green (rust buster) salt in it. 2. Do NOT allow stains to build up in your toilet bowls. The longer they are allowed to build up, the more difficult it will be to ever get them out. 3. Use this toilet bowl cleaner at least weekly, more often if you see any stains developing. 4. When cleaning the toilet bowl, begin by "flushing" the toilet with a gallon bucket of water. (Use an empty gallon ice cream bucket if you don't have a gallon bucket.) This will clear most of the water out of the toilet bowl so the toilet bowl cleaner won't be diluted. 5. Apply the cleaner around the rim, the apply extra cleaner around the water line is in the bowl. Scrub everywhere, then let it sit and do its job for 15 minutes before you flush. 6. If the stains aren't completely gone, start again at Step 4. 7. Depending on how long the toilet has been stained, you may have to repeat Steps 4-5 several times. After several repeats, you may get to a point where you realize the stains aren't improving any more. That's when you'll need to accept things as they are or consider scrubbing the stains off with a pumice stick.

Our town's water ends up with mineral particles building up in the water heater and in sinks, toilets, shower, tubs, etc. We had a toilet that the build up was so bad that it didnt come off after scrubbing on it with pumice stone and other cleaners. It left a giant patch of discolored surface in the toilet that we just assumed we'd have to get rid of the toilet to resolve. Dumping things like CLR, acids, or other DIY solutions including physical scraping didnt help. Just for the heck of it we tried this Lime/Rust version of the lysol cleaner and the toilet "ring" mineral build up that happens every week in a high mineral water town immediately cleared with normal soak and brush action. It's been a much more involved intense cleaning before we tried this cleaner. The darker patch of mineral stuff didn't resolve after the first cleaning or the second cleaning. Unfortunately for us a few days after the second cleaning the mineral build up came off in a giant chunk during a flush and blocked up the toilet during a "liquid only flush". After a quick snake it was dislodged and things went back to normal. This build up was there for many years and would not scrub off until we used this cleaner no matter how hard we scrubbed or which chemicals we used. This stuff is amazing and is the only cleaner I buy now.

We have hard water where I live. Without installing a water softener nothing will stop that. However this toilet bowl cleaner is the only one that helps get those stubborn rings out of the toilet. Or bathrooms have no windows just exhaust fans so mildew rings happen from time to time. Between this and Kaboom toilet tabs it helps our toilets looking like new. That porcelain sparkles. This also works great on grout, so if you have stubborn grout stains on floors or shower walls this helps there too. Multipurpose!
