This helps get the sweat smells and chemical scents out and leaves it smelling neautral which to us is perfect. It has an odor from the chemicals used. It DOESNT have perfumes added. I really have no way to tell if it kills germs as it claims. If you read the instructions you will discover you must let the clothes soak in it for quite a while before washing them.
