This dog kennel/run is very sturdy. The owns weight description says it weighs only 20 pounds. That's BS, add another 0 at the end. It's about 200+ pounds or more. I built one kennel and it is very sturdy once put together and all of the metal ziplocks are used to secure the chainlink fence to the posts. That part is back breaking by squatting and bending for quite some time. I finished one kennel and onto the second kennel when the part #6 was bent and already rusted. To be rusted means it was bent a while ago. This item arrived Tuesday and I started building it, out of the box, on Saturday. I don't think it's possible to get 1 piece replaced as opposed to lugging the entire thing to the mailing drop-off center. It is a bulky box and very heavy. Now I have to take it all apart and then wait another week for the replacement. Frustrating... Update: Received the new dog run and all parts fit this time round! I have two side by side and again, they are sturdy! I would definitely recommend this product. I bumped it up to 4 stars from 3. I won't give a five because the description still says the item weighs 20 pounds. ... show more

Got it and put it together, it was a little flimsy but was gonna work for what it was for. Well today we had 18mph winds and every single seam is ripping where the tie downs are on the tarp. So if you plan on using the cover I wouldn't recommend this or buy your own tarp even thoe that's too much of a hassle. So just avoid it. Also I have 2 6month old malamutes and they are bending and ripping through the fencing. It's cheap, cheaply made and cheaply designed. I called to return it but they said I'd have to take it all down and ship it back and I'd have to pay for shipping, and then after I was just gonna agree and go with it they said I was out of the return period and said they couldn't do anything for me. I didn't set it up when I first got it because I was busy and had dog runs, didn't notice the issues until it was put together and stuff started falling apart within a couple days. Over all this is not a bad kennel. The door fence was too short needed one more link run. Had to use clamps to pull it tight enough to mount hardware. The instructions had a mislabeled part. Item 5 was was labeled item 9 in the instructions. I'm a machinist and if not for my skill level I would have thought I was missing a part. Not an item that the novice will have a fun time putting together. Parts packages were open and peices were floating around in the box. That's why only 3 stars. But it will function as intended. Overall this is a good outdoor kennel. I wish I had sized up as I am using it for 2 medium sized dogs for a day time play pen. It’s big enough that they can play together comfortably but would not be a good option long term. I might see if there’s a way to extend it with a couple of pieces. I am a single woman who put this together in about 4 hours. I really think it would go faster will two people and I made two mistakes that slowed me down just a bit. I don’t have the canopy on and will do that later. The most frustrating part of this build is that the chain-link for the door is about 2 inches two short. I made it work as you can see in the images but it is bowed and I will likely have to buy a new piece from Lowe’s as the dogs could probably squeeze is down eventually. The piece being too short makes the whole door compromised so be mindful of that. Instructions were fine and I followed them meticulously. Could be a little clearer but you just need to organize everything first before you get started. Don’t try to do this without reading the instructions. This is not something you can guess your way through as many parts look similar but are used in super specific ways. Parts were also mislabeled or missing labels so you’ll need to be intuitive at various points or just outright trial and error it. Overall this meets my needs for now. ... show more

This pen might be fine for a smaller or older dog, but my energetic, 2 year old border collie/lab mix easily bent the wires to create an escape in just two 8 hour days in the pen. Also, it comes in many parts with many zip ties to put together. It’s not at all what we’d hoped for.
