It's easy enough to assemble, though I did not use the instructions which came with the nightstand. I'll mention how I assembled at the end of the review. It 'mostly' looks very nice and works very well. The problem is it SHOULD have 2 other boards (if you view the photo shown there is one backing board that is up for no particular reason. - It could have had 2 of roughly the same size around the sides of the drawer one takes out to add to the look from a view that isn't straight on. Furthermore, the wood is very nice and better than expected, and the metal is top notch. The self-screw placement is easy enough on the bottom to protect a wooden floor, but the drawer absolutely should have also been wood or have some kind of wood (or even metal looking) like front instead of the collapsible fabric type. Then, there should be covers for the holes which most would have facing the wall. It comes with extra screws, which is nice, and I decided to put them underneath the bottom backing of the drawer. It's a great size for a lamb and books, other object below. I highly recommend putting something over the top of the wood as it can scratch or be damaged by liquid. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Assembly: I recommend putting together the drawer first. It's easy enough. Place the two screws outside and attach one to the handle and spin around, then screw in the rest and place in the bottom part to hold it more firm. This gives one a sense of 'completion.' Well done! I then decided to put the screws over a white paper to make sure they are all together and using the right ones. I flipped it over and put the top on first. Then I put it the metal placements while keeping the screws somewhat loose. I then placed the 'backing' part of the wood on (length, but less width) and while loose I then placed the next larger part over it, again with placing the screws inside loosely so I could be sure it's in correctly. It is important when screwing these in to make sure the metal ends and wood are level. So, hold onto the metal part so it's at the right angle and aligned properly (perpendicular) with the rest. Same goes for the wooden attachments. Make sure the metal placements are such that the slats are facing each other for the drawer to be placed on top of them. Make certain the larger wood part and attached edge piece holes are in correctly so out of view when finished, so the holes will be facing the wall on the edge piece and facing down towards the drawer on the larger piece. 5 stars at $54.99 and I notice there is a coupon which makes it less. With what I stated as an improvement I would be willing to pay far more as it would be a 'complete' piece as opposed to some kind of hybrid of 'cheaper' and quality wood and metal. ... show more

We needed a small bedside table and this piece delivers - once assembled, it is a great height for bedside or near any upholstered furniture. It took about 15 minutes to assemble - the only tool needed is provided! Pluses: Solid construction for all external surfaces, both top and central shelves. Great for lamps, short stacks of textbooks, and dishes (wipeable surface for typical, not extreme, use) adjustable "feet" if the placement has uneven or warped footing. Good looking woodgrain appearance. Easy to assemble, required tool and extra screws provided. Sturdy and compact for small spaces. Does what it says on the tin. Minus - we took off one star for the drawer - it's a suede front with paper/fabric interior. It's "good enough" but doesn't match the level of the rest of the table. The drawer is not meant for anything heavy, and could be a liability for basement or damp rooms where you might run a dehumidifier or exhaust fan. Not a dealbreaker for us, and the table could work well without it. Overall, we are pleased with this solid, quality nightstand/end table. ... show more

So often, boxed furniture is damaged during shipping. This nightstand was packaged so well, it would have been almost impossible for it to get hurt. Everything was well labeled, and the directions were easy to follow. I am not particularly good at putting stuff together, but I wanted to try. It took me about 35 minutes or so to put together. My only problem was that I could not completely tighten some of the screws by myself. I just didn't have the strength. Some of the screws were almost stripped. My husband was able to fix that later. This nightstand was easy to put together. My only issue is that the piece of wood in the back still moves after being screwed in tight. Other than that. The nightstand itself is sturdy & functional.

This table is just the right size and height, and I love the look of it! ' Assembly was quick and easy, the instructions were clear, and extra screws were provided. As other reviewers have mentioned, the drawer is flimsy- it seems like reusable shopping bag material, and I wonder how it will hold up in my humid climate. It's not made to hold heavy items, more like a few magazines and such. The table is easy to wipe down, sturdy, and seems like it can hold up to a lot of wear and tear.
