It took me a little under two hours to assemble this table by myself. The directions do call for two people, but it can be done solo. Either way, it's going to be rather annoying at a couple of points. The top panel was especially tough because you have to push the metal folding arms left or right into the correct position, and it's the last step so my arms were already pretty tired. Tools are included, but I highly recommend bringing your own. You'll need a phillips screwdriver, and an allen key set. As far as looks go, it looks great. Very sleek and stylish. It will easily compliment any sofa set. It might even look better than your sofa! As far as functionality, it leaves a bit to be desired. All of the parts are very high quality, but the base isn't heavy enough to stay in place when you open or close the lid. The whole table just slides around, especially on hardwood floors. Either way requires both hands, but closing it forces you to grab it underneath the lid and risks pinching fingers. On top of that, the lid closes too quickly if you let it go. You absolutely cannot close it with anything spilliable on top. Trust me, it'll go flying. I positioned the table so the lid opens towards the couch, which works great as a meal tray, but makes it harder to access the storage area. The storage is fairly ample, but I haven't figured out yet what to put in there. It would be a hassle having to dig out the remote every time I wanted to watch TV. Maybe I'll put some weights in there to keep it from sliding around! One last note, be extra careful removing the zip tie from the folding arms. The hydraulic piston is under pressure, and the arms will extend as soon as the zip tie is removed. Be sure to hold the arm somewhere that it can't pinch, you then use shears to cut the zip tie.

This is a super nice lifted Top Coffee table. I have been looking for something in this style for a while so as soon as I saw this I had to scoop it up. This came very well packed and secured and everything was exactly as described in the ad. Nothing was missing or damaged from delivery and it was all in great condition. It had all the correct parts and pieces and the measurements on the ad all matched up as well and there was no missing Hardware so it fit exactly in the space I had for it and it's super sturdy and durable once it's put up. There are a ton of uses that you can have for this and I love that the top lifts up so you can even eat your dinner and use this as a table in the living room if you are having like a couch dinner type of night. Definitely functions as intended super high quality and worth every penny for sure. Solid 10 out of 10 amazing quality

Highly surprised with how well-made this table is. It fit better in my space than I thought it would when I measured. The wood finish is so well done, you can’t even tell that it’s MDF, even the structural support is like real wood. The table comes with wood grain stickers to go over the screw holes that seamlessly blend with the rest of the grain. Functionality is fantastic, it opens and closes effortlessly and smooth.

First thing to note it there are a lot of pieces and parts to this table. There are a couple of steps that need two people so it goes together correctly. I would say it took roughly a little over an hour to put together. The instructions are easy to follow, a couple of suggestions when you get to the white pegs, there are no words saying you push those in, I was trying to screw them in, my husband let me know I was wrong and to just push them in. Maybe that is well known and just my lack of knowledge from not assembling much furniture. The other is when you put on the table hydraulic on, I would suggest putting the top on the brackets than attach the brackets to the table vs how instructed. Otherwise you have to lay almost under the table to get the top on. In my case I put the top on backwards. LOL whoops. This error added a little more time.. As far as quality and looks. the table looks nice, it is much smaller than what I had pictured. You can fit smaller things in the compartment of the table It is pretty sturdy and easy to move. The reason for the 3 star is the price. There are larger tables by 10+"s for $60-70 less than this one.

The finish color is consistent with the picture on the site and the lift top is absolutely perfect for a laptop - other features that I like are the storage areas under the lift top.
