Got this as a backup since of course the fitted sheet is always the one that fails. After the initial wash, it didn't have that odd packaging smell. Haven't actually used it yet, but it seems like it would be reasonably comfortable. I really like the sky blue color, which matches my comforter. A couple of less-than-positives about this fitted sheet: 1) Inexplicably, it has an extra piece and thus an additional seam at one end, which could be an area of weakness or failure over time. 2) It doesn't feel nearly as soft as my other 1,000-TC sheets, though maybe it will soften more after use and a few washes.

As far as fit, it’s great. I have a super thick mattress and it’s even got extra room to spare. It’s obviously cotton, which is good…and I had high hopes as the texture was a bit smooth and silky out of the package, which was what I was looking for. Sateen. Welp…then I washed it. Now it feels rough and not a bit of sateen to it. I’ll keep it, but once again…a manufacturer who doesn’t apparently understand the meaning of sateen.
