This is a nice old fashioned cotton terry cloth. Not like the flimsy stuff nowadays. Very absorbent and warm out of the bath or shower. I am 5ft and 90 lbs and it fits small. Comes just below the knee and barely overlaps in front...this was after washing it. Sleeves come down to wrist bone. If I order another one, it would be a medium. I got this robe and liked the color and the length, but thought material was scratchy. I washed it thinking it would soften. Still scratchy. I then tried it on and realized that, even though I am average sized, it is also too small to properly wrap around me so that it opens with even slight movement, making it useless as a robe.
