This’s comforter is amazing!! I’ve been using this for over a year now. -it’s pretty heavy. Almost too heavy for a really hot summer night (it gets 110° in the summers here). But I still use it year round. -it’s warm and also kind of cool. I use it for all seasons. -it’s not too fluffy. I’m not constantly losing my phone or remote in it. -it’s fairly thick. I did not want one that was paper thin and flat, so I did quite a bit of research and I am very happy with it. There enough substance to give it some good fluff. -it’s kind of loud, but not unreasonably when moving. -I have two different duvet covers/sets that I use and it fits perfectly in there. It’s also does not slide around and fall down to one end like my other blanket did. Overall this is a great blanket, and the price is so reasonable. I would have expected it to be more for the quality. I am so happy with this purchase, and I’m confident that I’ll use it for the next 10 years to come.

For my travel trailer, I wanted something warm enough for sleeping in 40-degree F. A trailer is expensive to heat with propane, mostly because insulation is nowhere near as good as in a house. So, when camping in cold weather, I usually set the thermostat at 40F at bedtime. If it's freezing outside, the trailer will gradually cool down, and the furnace only comes on to keep temperatures just above freezing. While at home, temperatures never go below about 65F, so a summer-rated comforter is usually fine. But if temperatures could go as low as 40F, how warm a comforter do you need? When buying a down comforter, consider the down "fill power" (600, 700, 800) which is a measure of how much warm air is trapped by the down. The higher the number, the more warm air it can trap. Generally, 800-fill is the norm for good-quality comforters. Then, consider how much down they put in. Using Queen-size as an example, the amount of down is roughly: * Summer - 25 Oz * All season - 40 Oz * Winter - 55 Oz This comforter has 60 Oz of 800-fill down, which puts it in the 'winter' category. Actually, this was the warmest one I could find. And yes, it is very warm! Even with 40F temperatures, i don't feel any cold at all, although I wear a hat to keep my head warm. NOTE - it's tricky to figure out how warm a comforter really is, because the "fill-power" is not standardized, so there is some variability between one manufacturer and another. So you'll want to buy a reputable brand, to ensure they don't over-state the fill-power of their down product. Next, is the weight, which is harder to fudge. If the listing shows the number of ounces, then you can be pretty sure you'll get that amount of down. To be sure, I looked at the "shipping weight" in the Amazon listing. I weighed my existing summer comforter, and found it to have about 25Oz of down. Then I weighed this Egyptian Bedding comforter when it arrived, and it really did weigh 7lbs, comprising 60 Oz of down plus about 2.5lbs for the cotton cover. Thus we can say that these inexpensive chinese comforters are a downright bargain! They are as high a quality as the best comforters you can buy. Seriously don't hesitate. I am seriously impressed. Thanks Amazon! Side note - because I couldn't decide which one was really the warmest, based on the listing, I bought two. The other one was "Egyptian Cotton Factory Outlet Store" When they arrived, they actually had the exact same packaging, they were basically identical, so I didn't even bother opening the other one. If you go shopping for a comforter at Macys or BedBath&Beyond, you'll see that the warm ones can be very expensive, up to $3000! So how does this $130 comforter stack up against a $3000 comforter? I was shocked when I looked at my past Amazon orders and saw that I purchased this down comforter 8 years ago, so I was compelled to write a review. To date it's one of the best purchases I've ever made for myself. It's by far the most I've ever spent on a "blanket"... it was a splurge at the time but looking back I'm so happy I did. This is by far the warmest and most comfortable comforter or blanket I've ever used. I'm telling you- I live in Michigan where I keep my heat low, it gets COLD in the winter, and this is the only blanket I need on my bed. Once you've been under the comforter for a couple minutes and allowed your body heat to get trapped in, you will find yourself in a heavenly warm, cozy cloud. It's what I imagine it would be like to be floating inside of a pierogi. There are two very small drawbacks to this comforter. The first is that on a cold, blistery winter morning, I find it very challenging to get out of bed because of how extremely comfortable and cozy I am. The second is that there are no ties, so using a duvet is a real pain in the butt. I used one for a while but they slip and slide all over so I no longer use one. The exterior shell is also very soft and does not irritate my sensitive skin. Depending on the weather, we usually use the comforter from late Autumn to beginning of Spring when it starts to warm up again. It's definitely too warm to use year-round (in Michigan, anyway). After 8 years there are a few pieces of thread that are frayed but nothing you'd really notice and nothing that alters its integrity. There are no other signs of wear and tear, she's still a beaut. Unless you are looking for a comforter with ties/buttons, I would highly recommend this to anyone that wants to be warm and cozy in the winter.

I purchased the Luxurious Oversized Queen Goose Down Fiber Comforter and I love it—now. Once fully fluffed and aired out, it’s like sleeping in a cloud. It’s soft, cozy, and absolutely feels luxurious for the price point. I paid $130 for the oversized queen, which is ideal for my double-sized mattress—the drape is perfect, covering the mattress and box spring. The goal - add a beautiful bedspread as a finishing touch. The Good: • It’s fluffy, well-made, and very cozy without being too warm—even on California summer nights. • The 100% cotton cover feels soft to the touch and the overall look is clean and inviting, not overly crisp—more like a cozy hotel bed you want to crawl into. • The OEKO-TEX and Responsible Down Standard (RDS) certifications gave me confidence in the materials and added to the value. • It layers beautifully with other bedding and gives the bed an elevated, plush look. The One Drawback (and why it’s 4 stars): When it first arrived, the comforter was vacuum-sealed and had a noticeable earthy odor that made me question the purchase. My son didn’t smell it—but I definitely did. It also looked too flat right out of the package, and just laying it out wasn’t enough to bring it to life. I followed the included care instructions and added my own method: • Three rounds in the dryer on fluff mode (20 minutes each), removing and rearranging it in between due to my dryer’s small size. • Then I hung it outside for a full day, which completely eliminated the smell and brought the fluff to life. It took some patience, and during those first two days, I honestly wondered if I had made the right call. That’s the only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5—but I’m so glad I stuck with it. Final Thoughts: If you have the same experience and you’re willing to put in a little effort up front, the reward is absolutely worth it. This comforter now makes my bed feel warm, inviting, and just the right kind of luxurious. I’m very happy with the purchase and would definitely recommend it—just be ready to give it a little love before it reaches its full potential.

I bought this duvet 4 months ago. We also purchased a cover for it as we have a dog and wanted to protect the duvet. I cannot emphasize enough this duvet was the single greatest thing I purchased in 2019. And I buy a lot of stuff. My husband and I fawn over this duvet even after months of sleeping with it. We will be reading in bed and one of us will randomly turn and say man how great is this duvet?? We love love love it. It has changed our sleeping lives. We used to sleep with a blanket and a quilt on top of us. They usually would shift unevenly during sleep with one of us getting more of the blanket and one getting the quilt. Each on their own was not warm enough so we would also sleep in long sleeves, sweatpants, and my husband would wear a hoodie most nights (we keep our heat at 68). Once we got the duvet we sleep only with the duvet. No extra layers. We got the king size for our king bed and there is plenty of coverage and no one is yanking from the other. It has a very nice weight to it. I’d say medium if the scale of light was a comforter and heavy was a true weighted blanket. It does have a crinkle noise to it like any duvet I’ve seen in hotels but it’s not a bother. I will say this duvet is very warm. I sleep in a tee shirt and pants and my husband now sleeps in shorts and a t shirt because the duvet is very warm. I sometimes wake up a little too warm and change my sleep clothes or duvet position. We haven’t changed the thermostat setting so it’s entirely due to the duvet. Full disclosure though we have been using from October to January so I can’t comment on the possibility of all season use but I’m not sure since we already run so warm. I think we would try to push through even during the summer because we loooove this duvet so much. It was exactly what I wanted. I wanted to feel like I was sleeping in a hotel bed every night (not like dorm sleeping) and this has totally nailed that requirement.

This duvet is truly Down and NOT feathers! Very thick and soft, doubles as my body pillow! Due to the very high quality, it does "lightly crinkle" when you grab a handful and scrunch it. It is hardly noticeable and not a mark against it at all! It is not like the sound of plastic mattress covers or indoor/outdoor cot material. The detail of the stitching is superb and all down stays within its own box! (Boxes are true! no gaps at any corner of any box) Myself and 2 Yorki Poos thoroughly abuse this product! Myself, by bunching it all up and using it as a body pillow, and the pups, by fluffing it several times a day to lay down on it, and by rooting to get under it. It has been 6 weeks and I have only seen a total of 3 individual down find themselves outside the cover. It just does not shed any amount worth being troubled over. I am very pleased with this purchase!! This is a very warm blanket! In fact, the Warmest blanket that I have ever had! (Usually get them from Bed Bath & Beyond) I am amazed with the warmth and have now decided to get a lower fill rate for warmer weather haha! 1 star for "lightweight" this is a very heavy blanket! For me, this does Not take away from the quality, more like actually getting what you pay for, but even much more!

This comforter is the real deal. It is super warm. We had to set our thermostat to 64 at night and it is perfect with this comforter. It is much warmer than our much more expensive comforter that is 75% down and 25% feather. The cover makes a little noise, but not due to cheapness rather due to high quality cotton that the down can't poke through. This is a very well made comforter. It is recommended to dry clean and I'm not sure if it really would fit in a front load machine. It ships very compacted in small bag and is pretty heavy for the size. It unpacks easily and is beautiful on the bed. My husband and I love it. We were freezing with our old comforter and had the heat set higher and used other blankets with it. Now we just have this one comforter on the bed and it is super comfortable. This is the best down comforter I have ever used anywhere. I also bought one for my parents because their room in in a basement and can be quite cool so this will be the perfect gift.

These are the best down comforters I've ever purchased and maybe ever slept under. They are right up there with Bloomingdales and Macy's, Four Seasons, etc. I ordered my first one in 2019 and loved it. Then a year later, I ordered another one for my guest room (both queen size). The 2nd one was a heavier weight than the first, yet both said they were the same. Didn't matter that much to me, but might to some people - these are fantastic! PROS: The down hasn't poke through ever. The way they stitched it, keeps the down in place and yet is easy to fluff, but you don't have to fluff regularly. It's that good. I'm ordering another one now for my grandson and I realized I never wrote a review.
