Let me start by saying I've had many comforters over the years, but this one wins the prize. I ordered the dark grey in Palatial king for my King sized bed. I really don't like to see my sheets, so the coverage overhang is perfect. Plus, I wanted extra to curl up in. Totally worth the price. The comforter is made well with baffle boxing. The material is durable but super soft. When I sleep it manages to keep me warm, but also allowing me to stay cool. I have owned a lot of down comforters and I a promise you this is the best one I’ve ever owned. The feathers don’t come out and if you wash it they stay in and actually dry! It’s very fluffy and gold its shape, I have a duvet cover on mine most of the time but when it’s off I really love the texture of the blanket. It’s seriously so cozy and has held up for 4 years and looks the same as when I bought it. Another great thing is there is no weird smell out of the package! Was hesitant about buying a down comforter sight unseen, or felt. But it is all it claims to be! Soft cotton cover, no crackling sounds, very full and very warm, no feathers poking through. We’re in Wisconsin where winters are very damp and cold! I wanted a winter weight to keep us warm and this does it. I always buy king size for our queen bed to have lots of overhang. Shook it out and let it sit for a few hours on the bed, shook it out again and it is very full and lofty, just like the picture. A few years ago I paid more than twice this price for a queen size from The Co Store, known for quality bedding but is now out of business. This is a very good purchase! ... show more

I bought this comforter to replace another I had just bought last month that I didn’t like. I replaced the previous one due to being too loud and losing way too many feathers but this one makes very minimal noise so that part is good, the material is soft and loses few feathers while sleeping. This comforter is lightweight enough not to be too hot but warm enough to keep you warm when it’s cold The only thing I don’t like is that the sewn squares don’t distribute the filling evenly. I have some areas where the filling is nice and even and some that the down/feathers are all wadded in the corner. I laid it out after shaking for a few hours then tried the dryer with no heat as instructed. Neither of these worked for disbursement of fill. Overall I like it and would recommend. ... show more

I was shocked when I looked at my past Amazon orders and saw that I purchased this down comforter 8 years ago, so I was compelled to write a review. To date it's one of the best purchases I've ever made for myself. It's by far the most I've ever spent on a "blanket"... it was a splurge at the time but looking back I'm so happy I did. This is by far the warmest and most comfortable comforter or blanket I've ever used. I'm telling you- I live in Michigan where I keep my heat low, it gets COLD in the winter, and this is the only blanket I need on my bed. Once you've been under the comforter for a couple minutes and allowed your body heat to get trapped in, you will find yourself in a heavenly warm, cozy cloud. It's what I imagine it would be like to be floating inside of a pierogi. There are two very small drawbacks to this comforter. The first is that on a cold, blistery winter morning, I find it very challenging to get out of bed because of how extremely comfortable and cozy I am. The second is that there are no ties, so using a duvet is a real pain in the butt. I used one for a while but they slip and slide all over so I no longer use one. The exterior shell is also very soft and does not irritate my sensitive skin. Depending on the weather, we usually use the comforter from late Autumn to beginning of Spring when it starts to warm up again. It's definitely too warm to use year-round (in Michigan, anyway). After 8 years there are a few pieces of thread that are frayed but nothing you'd really notice and nothing that alters its integrity. There are no other signs of wear and tear, she's still a beaut. Unless you are looking for a comforter with ties/buttons, I would highly recommend this to anyone that wants to be warm and cozy in the winter. ... show more

I'm not an expert in down, but this comforter is perfect. It's warm but doesn't make me sweat at night which I detest. I'm sure there are better comforters out there, but this one gives good value for the money.
