I travel often to a remote area near Antarctica, with little heat and poor insulation. Everything there must be imported and as such is very expensive. When I saw this white goosedown comforter with such a high (1200) thread count of Egyptian cotton content, I was mesmerized. The "sale" price was unbelievable for the product as described. On my last trip to the states I picked one up and brought it with me on my next journey to that cold and rainy environment. Like other reviewers, I found the package to be both small and lightweight, which was no surprise to me as my extra-large goose down sleeping bag is also quite light and stuffs into a tiny sack. It also helped in transporting my item so far away. I bought a duvet cover to protect the white cotton outside of the comforter from dust, stains, etc. After spreading it on my bed and climbing under (I got a King size duvet for a Queen sized bed) I found that the goose down wraps itself around the bed and body, hanging down with plenty of extra bedding down the sides and bottom of the bed to keep drafts and cold air from seeping in. My experience with the product has been beyond expectations. It is warm, comfortable, and helps to cradle the body with a light, comforting layer of heat (reflected from the body and insulated under the duvet). I would definitely purchase another one and gladly recommend it. If you haven't slept under high quality white goose down, give yourself the favor of this friendly-to-the-budget treat! ... show more

I spent a long time researching comforters before selecting this one (reading hundreds of other reviews). I have been very happy with my choice. When the product first arrived I will admit that the packaging left me feeling uneasy and skeptical about the product. The description mentions "beautiful zippered packaging" but I would call it generic plastic wrap with a piece of paper inside. This is the reason for only 4 stars. But, we looked past the packaging and put it on the bed to give it a try, and we are very happy! Disclaimer, I am a hot sleeper, but my wife is a cold sleeper. During the summer I can not stay under this comforter, but I can't really stay under any comforter during the summer. However, during the winter this is a fantastic comforter for both of us. I don't get too hot, and she stays happily warm. I can't count how many times she has mentioned how happy she is with this comforter (at least weekly since we have owned it, almost a year). We did purchase a duvet to put over the comforter, and with that on, we have not noticed any loss of down (even when removing the duvet to wash). As with any down comforter, a good fluffing is required to keep it "light and fluffy" over time, but even after a long period of just hanging on the bed I have never noticed any cold/hot spots from the down bunching up. This was a gift for my daughter for Christmas. She was happily surprised ....it was exactly what she wanted. Very nice and fluffy, well made. She has used it on her bed every day since she got it. She's gone through 4 other comforters (Beds in a bag) But this one stays . her bed always. Easy care, washes well in our washer, still looks great. Would definitely recommend and would order again. Purchased this 1200 TC Siberian Goose Down Comforter since Christmas 2013, used it for about 3 months now. When I received it, I left it for about 48 hrs before using, so it would fluffy out. The fluffiness was some what decent. The first night of using it, it felt very comfortable and warm. My husband and I both thought it was a great buy compare to what we saw at Macy's. The same type as described in Macy's would cost up to thousands; plus we can't even find 1200 TC. So to us, we felt extremely happy about what we found and saved so much money on. But every since then, the experience has been going down the hill. Everyday, when we wake up or go to sleep, there is feather flying EVERYWHERE. IT IS LITERALLY IN EVERY CORNER OF OUR MASTER ROOM. The product is completed unreliable, and it will harm your health. DO NOT BUY. I don't know how much of the feather from this we have breathed in!!!! I wanted it to return it so badly and get my money back. I hope the seller sees my comment and my unsatification of the product, and assist with a refund process right away. ... show more
