This product is beautiful and looks great in our newly remodeled contemporary kitchen. It's appropriately heavy so it doesn't tip or wobble when pulling off a towel. The big problem is that the post doesn't have grippers like the Umbra towel holder (which I would have purchased again if they made it in brass or gold tone to match hardware in new kitchen). Without those grippers on the post, attempting to pull one towel results in several feet of towels unspooling. I taped a small piece of thick shelf liner to the post to reduce the free spinning towels

I had an old standard silver paper towel holder for years - came across this that matched my kitchen very nicely. Looks much better and does the job very well. Even my husband noticed the difference and said how good it looked - my ladies out there know, that means a lot lol

This is exactly what the item listing photos show. It is heavy and tall enough that it will not tip over. That was my main concern as I was sick of towel holders I couldn’t use with one hand. The color of the rod is a matte finish- it is a warmer bronze color. I plan on sanding it a bit and spraying it to match my more champagne bronze fixtures. (See image). The base sides aren’t unfinished as some reviewers stated, it’s just not polished. They are smooth. That’s a matter of preference. It hold a triple roll of paper. Works great.

I saw this at a friend's house and knew I had to have it. The only one left available was used. I have never bought a used item but I took a chance. It was very scratched up, but not visible at all once the paper towel roll is on. It is so stylish and simple. It turns a towel holder into a beautiful accessory.

I know it's crazy to love a paper towel holder. I have spent way too much energy shopping for the perfect paper towel holder. I bought two others on Amazon and returned them. They just looked so cheap. On the others the gold was off color, scratched and looked so thin they looked like a painted tin can. The colors on this one are really nice. The gold looks warm and like brass. The base is heavy enough that I can tear a towel one handed with a quick snap. The base is real stone, it looks like granite more than marble. The base is big enough. I show a photo with a brand new big Costco roll on. I wanted something simple and modern and classy. This one is it!
