So I just like to say first that I was in shock when I initially pulled out the lights they were smaller than I expected and thinner than I expected, that being said I immediately remove them from the box to find a shorter than normal cord. Upon first inspection it looked cheap like it was not going to be durable. Then I plugged it in and I just need to say that my mouth dropped, I could not believe that these things put out the light that it did especially for the price I paid for them. The heat dissipation on them is amazing I left them on for about 45 minutes and there was absolutely no heat coming off of them. Upon further review I found that the metal bracket that is enclosed to mount it to a lighting Pole is not of great quality but none the less should work no problem. The plastic appears to be some sort of ABS possibly, although I would not try dropping them I would say that they should hold up pretty well under normal circumstances. Each one of these lights comes with its own remote which can control any device that being said one remote can control all of your devices. In addition to the remote this does have a DMX in and DMX out. The unit can be set from the back of the unit or from the remote channels can be set manually. Overall if I could give these a six star rating I would definitely give them a 6 star rating I still can't believe how bright these actually are for the price and how well they work be sure to look for my video when I show all of the features and give the full Rundown.:::Note::: after approximately 30 hours of continuous use one of the lights at the DMX connector just quit working. after extensive testing and after taking it apart I found that the solder joints were cold soldered at the DMX connector. After resoldering them correctly it works flawless. Keep in mind I have seen quite a few reviews saying that the DMX is horrible or the DMX Works crazy. If this is happening you must make sure that your DMX Terminator is still good. Don't blame the lights for a faulty Terminator. I have been using these now off and on for about 6 months with no problems after I repaired the cold solder joint. That being said these can be used on small stage but would not recommend them for large venues as they are not extremely powerful they are perfect 4 smaller stages. If you happen to purchase a set of these lights and they are very dim when in operation on a DMX controller you must check the Terminator and check your fader settings I can guarantee these lights are extremely bright having been a professional lighting technician these are not prograde but they do provide ample lighting if used under the right conditions. I would personally recommend these lights four stages no bigger than 20 by 15 with a maximum tree height of approximately 12 ft. I recommend there be at least four lights on each tree for good coverage ... show more

This worked great for a large space. The controllers are sometimes tricky since 1 can control all the lights! Even with sunlight and and in a bright room, the colors still shined very bright. It was a very simple set up and they're very lightweight which makes it easy to store.

Good price for a set of 8. Although 1 light came without thumbscrews, and a second light has a bad cooling fan. I contacted Amazon through chat and was told they would send a replacement for the one with the bad fan. I will be using these for my band in small venues, the beams are somewhat narrow compared to traditional pars, but will be adequate with 8 of them mounted on 2 light bars. (6 days waiting and no replacement yet, will give or take away a star pending) Update: after reaching out again to Amazon customer service and actually talking with someone, the replacement came quite fast. Great customer support from the Amazon associate that called me. Also after messing with the lights with only the remote, (there are no user instructions just a page that labels the remote buttons) I was able to find several ways to use these lights enough to get by without a dmx controller. (Although there is no way to make all 36 leds aluminate to a white shade of color without a dmx controller). I am quite pleased with these, just hope they last a while on the road! ... show more

Although I had to return it, But I can definitely recommend this to others. As now I am looking at lot of crappy product available in the market and when I compare it, I feel perhaps this product was much much better.

    • Not the same exact light as the 6 pack

I previously bought the 6 pack of these same lights. They are what they are for the price, the physical lights themselves are a fantastic bargain. But the DMX is not perfect, some lights get out of sync with the others if left for more than a few minutes in any given mode. I wanted to have 8 total (4 per side) so I bought this 2 pack of lights, however, they are not exactly the same lights as the 6 pack, even though they look almost identical, and the DMX channel mapping is exactly the same. Here is what is different: The LED arrangement/configuration is slightly different (I think the red and blue LEDs are swapped, but the greens are in the same place), they appear to be not as bright as the 6 pack as you dim them using a fader (but they appear just as bright at 100%), and there is no "white" looking color (all RGB at 100%) as the 6 pack lights have. So I feel that these are slightly cheaper quality than the 6 pack I got, but it may be just the next model/version and hopefully the 6 and 4 packs will be the same as this 2 pack. ... show more
