  • Nuna Sena vs Bjorn vs Guava vs Lumiere
I am extremely picky when it comes to baby gear. I completed TONS of research before my purchase and initially bought Bjorn and Guava. Shortly after, I found the Lumiere travel crib on Google and bought it here. I truly love it, and most importantly, my baby loves it. Let me share what I discovered during my research and experience with these travel cribs. Please bear with me, I think this review is going to be very long, but I hope that it will save you time when finding what you need to fit your lifestyle. Nuna Sena: From my research, Nuna Sena is the most expensive travel crib on the market at $350. It is a Netherlands brand. I didn't purchase their crib because it's more like a pack-n-play. It does not sit on the floor and is a bit heavier than other travel cribs. The good thing is that a bassinet for your newborn is included. This is great news because most of the travel cribs are designed for 6mth to 3 years old, not for a newborn. Unfortunately, they don't allow for free return shipping. Therefore, unless you are sure that you really want Nuna Sena, I don't recommend buying it. Bjorn: $275 - $299 on Amazon. Swedish old baby brand recognized worldwide. I believe they are the ones who created the concept of a portable travel crib. I loved the material they use; it's all OEKO-TEX non-toxic materials; Soft and Safe for your baby. They also have some nice features (see below), but I ended up hating the Bjorn because I am relatively small (5'2), and it's very hard for me to pick up my daughter or lay her down. A front zipper gate could solve this problem (Lumiere and Guava have this feature). I would give 3 stars to Bjorn’s travel crib, as it doesn't have the front gate and a fitted sheet, which are essential to my daily life. Pros: - OEKO-TEX material (= Non-toxic) - Some nice color options. - Lightweight Cons: - Expensive, overpriced - No fitted sheet included - No front zipper gate. - Not suitable for carry-on luggage Guava: $209 on Amazon. US Brand. It's a great product, and I really like it. It's easy to set up, but it is, indeed, a bit hard to fold up (you won't actually be able to pack it as easily and quickly as you see on their instructional video.) The hardest part when packing it is to completely and nicely fit it in their carrying bag. I probably just need to practice 20 times more... the 2-way carry bag is convenient. I believe Guava is the most compact crib when it’s folded up. The downside is that they don't INCLUDE a bassinet. They sell a bassinet, but you have to purchase their travel crib AND bassinet TOGETHER at $300. (They don't sell a bassinet separately). Therefore, if you wanted to have a bassinet, like me, after you purchased the crib, then you screwed up. That's a little bummer to me, as I wanted to have a bassinet as well. Normally a bassinet can be used until 1 year old. Their fitted sheet is expensive, and you have to purchase it separately. I would give 4-4.5 stars because of the above reasons. Pros: - Lightweight - Suitable for carry-on luggage - 2-way carrying bag Cons: - Hard to put back into the carrying bag - Fitted sheet is expensive - Bassinet is not included and expensive - No color options Lumiere: US Brand. I am really glad that I purchased it. There are many features for this crib that I love, so I will limit them to a few! 1. Big front zipper; this is absolutely a lifesaver for me as I can easily lay my child down and cuddle her inside the crib instead of putting her on the bed. As you know, oftentimes, a baby wakes up after you nurse and try to put him/her on the bed. 2. Fitted Sheets; they are included. A fitted sheet is a must to me. They offer not only 1, but 2 (all OEKO-TEX). This is amazing. We all need a few bedsheets to keep the bed clean. 3. Comfortable, breathable mattress; it helps regulate the baby's temperature so that the baby can sleep better. I feel that this is a nice feature to have, and I didn't see that with Bjorn and Guava. This is probably a minor thing, but I also like how it looks; it’s modern and stylish. Lastly, their 3-year warranty is a big plus. I believe standard baby gear warranties are only for 1 or 2 years. I can’t really think of any major Cons. The one downside I found is that I think it's considered as checked luggage and not as 'carry-on' at the airport (not sure 100%, I haven't tried it yet at the airport). For some people, this can be a must feature to have. This is not really a downside to me as I don't fly frequently (I normally fly once a year to see my parents). With a baby, there is already lots of stuff to carry around, so I prefer to check in the crib instead. We went for a short trip with a car, and the Lumiere crib worked great. It's lightweight, easy to carry, and fits in our car nicely. The great thing is their attractive price. It comes with so many things that I wanted and needed. I am certain that I saved way more than $100. I look forward to seeing how this brand is going to grow! Pros: - OEKO-TEX fabrics - Wide front gate - 3-year warranty - Breathable mattress - Bassinet included - Fitted sheets included - Lightweight Cons: - Not suitable for carry-on - No color options Conclusions: Bjorn, Guava, and Lumiere- they are all easy to set up, sturdy, and well-made, high-quality products. I don't recommend Nuna Sena simply because I don't see the value of $350 in it. Definitely overpriced. If you love having well-known brands, probably Bjorn would be the best. It's a worldwide baby brand (I use their baby carrier, btw). If you fly frequently with your little one and prefer carry-on baggage, then Guava would be your best choice. Whenever I buy baby gear, what matters for me is that it MUST be super easy to use, safe and sturdy, and stylish at a reasonable price. Lumiere met all of my needs and went above and beyond my expectations. I am really impressed with the quality and some features that make my life easier. If you’re looking for an all-inclusive type of crib that can save some time, money, and space at home, I would highly recommend Lumiere. I am sure you won't regret it. Thank you for reading. I've tried my best to be as honest as possible, and I hope this will help someone. ... show more

  • Perfect for Grandparents and Kids that Travel (we bought two!)
This travel crib is easy to assemble and perfect for many stages for your baby. We ordered the first one for my new grandson to be able to stay with all of us over thanksgiving. He was only three weeks old. Cut to him being 3 months old, and they are headed to see us at our home. (they are flying so not bringing their travel crib). I ordered another of the exact same thing because of the sturdiness and ease of putting up. Now they can take this one to the other grandparent's house while they visit. Customer service was quick and kind. Quick shipping, no problems. Also, this is a great gift. ... show more

  • Light and Easy to assemble
After 2 weeks of using this product. I will say this product is absolutely amazing and we love it! Here are some reasons why we say that. 1. It is light. With its size, I don’t believe that it would be light, as I have pack and play with similar size. So, it would be easy for travelling purpose. The backpack mode also so helpful. 2. Easy to assemble and disassemble. Its compact design is so amazing. With small amounts of energy, just push and pull till click sounds, and done! 3. The bonus waterproof sheet is working!!! First week, my son peed on the crib, I thought it would be disaster, but it turns out that we just need to clean the crib sheet only. 4. You can open all the fabric and wash it! Unlike my pack and play, this crib can be easily disassembled. Just put it in your washer and then done! 5. It fits with my 7 months baby and 2 years old infant! Anyway, this is good product, and I won’t hesitate to recommend it to others! ... show more

  • Have been using and loving for over a year!
I purchased the Lumiere All-in-One Lightweight Travel Crib in June of 2021 just prior to our first trip with our then 7 month old. It's everything the company claimed it would be - lightweight, easy to set up, easy to take down and re-pack, and comfortable for our daughter. The mattress that comes with it is so much nicer than the pieces of thinly covered cardboard of our Graco pack and play. It came with two fitted sheets and a noise machine, which makes it an incredible deal. It fits perfectly in the bottom of our checked luggage (Maxlite® 5 29" Large Check-In Expandable Spinner), the way that it's shaped like a flat rectangle when folded up means there is still room to pack the rest of the baby gear in the suitcase. I put a SlumberPod® over the Lumiere Crib when we've reached our destination, and my girl hasn't had any trouble getting night sleep or naps during any of her many trips away from home! She'll be two soon, so we have been using this product for almost a year and half. I highly recommend it! ... show more
