Thin profile, easy to control, pretty good battery. This light is the perfect fit when you an rgb light. Fits in your bag, depending on your settings it will last as long as you need it to. I would add an external battery if i needed longer life.

This is a great light panel. It is very well-built, easy to use, easy to mount on any camera and charges quickly but last long. I used it for a recent job where I was hired by Sony pictures to capture behind-the-scenes videography and photography at a live event for influencers. I got this to light my face during zoom calls. I’d been using two ring lights, and it was cumbersome to have one on either side. With a SmallRig clamp on my monitor, the Lume Cube Panel sits at the right spot for good lighting. My office gives me some backlighting, and I kept one ring light to one side. I really like that I can control light color temp, color and brightness from the phone app. Battery life is OK, but it will run down even if unused for several days. Not a problem for me, as I can use the charging cord. The police strobe light is a fun effect. If a meeting gets too long, you can turn it on, and pretend you just HAVE to go because of the red and blue flashing light… ... show more

I got Lume Cube at the last minute in case the event I was recording slipped into night mode. I knew I needed a light eventually, but spec reading can bog you down. How pleased and surprised I was. The versatility and ability this light gave was far more than I expected. Every subject was well lit and I had no concerns about battery life. I may not ever purchase another light. This thing just not working out of the box. Even well-regarded device, developed in CA, can fall into "Made in China" kind of quality control. :-( Definitely time to move to another brand. Update 1: Photo for the guys who love to see what's inside. Pretty sophisticated design, but not working nevertheless. In side to side comparison to Boling P1, LumeCube Pro case feels slim, flimsy and creaky. If you shake it - PCB and LED module (they are soldered together) slightly rattle inside. Enclosure is made from pretty thin aluminum. Matte front panel (not separate diffuser, but front panel itself) is bending and touching LCD's if lightly pressed. It's fine for indoor/studio use, but definitely not good enough for urbex gurus or backpackers with DSLR. Update 2: LumeCube representative was extremely responsive and kind to send me another device. This tells a lot about customer support (which was a great experience!), so I am adding a couple of stars for this beforehand. Update 3: after a few backpacking trips still feel myself cheated - 150$ device have worse power button ever! It should be stored in 3D-printed hard case with foam on power button side to be sure panel will not turn on occasionally being in the included velour soft-pouch. Even slightest incautious press along the short side - and you have fully discharge battery. ...Even if you put panel in the original box for storage in wrong direction (see image attached), light will turn on and fully discharge battery. Send hello from European hardware engineer to American developers of plastic insert of the original package! Poor job and minus one star. Update 4: for unknown reason sometimes LumeCube Pro is not easy to reconnect light via Bluetooth. It is listed in Application, but just not react on commands. If you remove registered device from Application and try to reconnect again, it may take 3-4 turn on/turn off Bluetooth iterations to register properly. Not sure, is it hardware flaw or dirty programming. ... show more

Been using this Lume Cube Pro for a month, which is the bigger light of the 3 they offer, it does the job but for the size, brightness and price... meh, idk. I wish I would have gone a different route. It IS well made and there is nothing wrong with it, I do like it a lot. But for $150 it should be brighter, lot brighter. Smallrig just released a new light equivalent in specs as this Lume Cube Pro, but it also acts as a powerbank, which is a nice feature... I wish it had been released before I purchased this one, I would have gotten 2 for the money I paid for this. ... show more
