I do a fair amount of travel, and currently use what I'd consider a regular carry-on sized suitcase. It's been all over the world and has seen better days. Various parts of it have broken over the years, and most recently the zipper completely came off. While I'm still using it, I decided to start looking for something else. I ended up, most recently, going down to Las Vegas for a night to attend a 2-day trade show. I literally had one night's worth of luggage with me, and my regular carry-on bag was really overkill for the trip. Literally half of it was empty. That entered this Luggex bag. It would have been a perfect bag to take on a trip like this. I do find myself going on enough overnight trips too that I felt getting one this size would be worth it. At $90, it's not bad. The bag feels nice, and seems to be pretty well made. I hope it will be able to last as I put it through the paces, but it seems just the right size for these type of trips. Probably the biggest downside I see is that, while I like the lighter tan color, I do see that easily getting dirty with time. The inside of the bag was a little puzzling at first too. I didn't think it could fully open, but then realized that it was attached by velcro. After pulling that apart, the bag is able to fully open, making packing far easier. I also noticed that there is a zipper that runs along the back side. I thought maybe this was a pocket, but it opened up to some padding styrofoam, which I thought I needed to remove, but then I realized it was the metal frame behind that. I assume the padding, as a result, was there on purpose, but I'm not totally sure why they even made the zipper. If that part isn't necessarily supposed to be accessed, why even make it so it can be? Otherwise, there aren't a ton of pockets, but that's fine. Again, I think this is perfect for an overnight bag. The wheels seem to move well, the handle is high enough for me, a 6' 2" man, to be able to handle. This, I have no doubt, will become one of my new best friends as I travel.

This is definitely smaller than your average carryon so it can fit the underseat of most airlines to count as a personal item but I’d say just double check prior to make sure it does fit otherwise it would be a 2nd carryon. The material is wonderful, it is a softer material but still firm-ish but definitely will not handle being stacked under other luggage. The front side is the best part, it does have velcro siding but it opens frontside without having to put down the luggage at all like traditional ones. This makes it convenient to pull out your laptop (there’s an inner front pocket design for laptops/tablets) or any important books or paperwork to take out as needed. This will prove a little difficult to open on the airplane because you definitely have to move your legs to the side to take this out comfortably if you really needed to but it may annoy your seatmate.. This is a great option and comfortably fits 2-3 days worth of clothes (3 days for summer wear, 2 days for winter wear) and some toiletries and your laptop/tablet and the wheels glide sooo smoothly. I also love that the handle extends super high like just as tall as a regular large suitcase but feels extra solid. The materials this is made with is wonderful and you can feel the quality. Everything feels nice and premium and the material itself is easy to wipe off if any liquid got on it, but I wouldn’t say it’s waterproof. Also has convenient side pocket for a water bottle or some extra items for quick access. Overall a great option if you want a smaller luggage that’s suitable for a quick trip and would rather use this instead of a backpack or want to minimize having to use a carryon.
