Over the past year, I have been searching for a dog food that meets all of my requirements while also being reasonably priced. I have been curious about trying a new brand for some time, but its higher price deterred me, especially when other brands are offering better quality ingredients at a similar price. However, when the product was discounted, I decided to give it a try, and so far, my experience has been really positive. While I haven't noticed any significant changes, I have been feeding it to all three of my dogs, who have allergy issues, and they seem to enjoy it without experiencing any stomach problems. The only downside is that it contains chicken, which makes it less allergy-friendly for dogs with poultry sensitivities. Overall, I have nothing negative to say about it, but I would hesitate to purchase it again if the price goes back to $60+ since there are numerous other brands with better ingredients available at that price point. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. We got this food for our 3 dogs a husky, Weimaraner and a mixed mutt.. I ordered at at 10:30 at night. I'm am a n mod shift nurse and get home late. Anyway, we have been searching for a better food option. We homemade our dog food for the last year which is really expensive but we would have continued of it was what was best for our boys, but they were losing too much weight and we decided to try another brand from Chewy. That one was 70 a bag, however there was a recall on it and I was very unhappy because I had put a lot of work into figuring out a good food. Went back online did more homework on the best food out there and Lucy pet came up.. I was a bit worried about switching our boys again but after receiving it I don't feel as worried now. First off as I mentioned I ordered the food at night and the next morning it was on my porch before I left for work! So fast! Second, I opened the bag and the food smelled pretty good. The nuggets themselves are almost flake disc. They are not your typical round hard balls. I mixed them with ground venison and beef broth then heated it up and they softened and are very easy to work with, leaving a nice texture for them. They scarfed down the food no complaints Lastly, I will update about any changes I see with them but so far so good but we have 1 meal under our belt. This seems like a good food from what I can tell so far. **Update** this is the 3rd bag and we are still in love with this food! Our dogs love it. It smells fresh. I have had no problems with it at all. I have found stuff in my other dog food like feathers rocks and even glass in another bag of other high quality food and this has been the best food ever! ... show more

Have a 16 year old German Shepherd and a 7 year old Maltese-poo and they both have bad teeth, but they also need food that has some crunch to it to keep their teeth clean and this is the right balance -- crunchy, but not like rocks. Their coats are healthy and shiny. Their poop looks healthy -- yeah talking sh*t, but hey that's the product of a healthy gut. They poop less with this stuff than many other products. Some foods they would tire of, but this hasn't been a problem with Lucy brand. I seem to be sticking with the Salmon, but have fed the Duck flavor to them before and they liked that as well. This brand was recommended to me by the owner of the Kennel and Dog Obedience School I have used for years and they raise pure bred dogs and train them, and they also have the best Kennel facility in two counties -- I trust them and their knowledge and they have come to know the owner and trust the quality of the food --- and THAT is good enough for me and then I see the results. ... show more

I have a old 10 year old Labrador with tons of skin issues. She would not eat Normal food and if she has to eat off the shelf dog food due to lack of options, her skin issues would flare up. Lucy Pet Formulas for Life Salmon has come as much needed relief. My dog is liking it and her skin issue flare up is not here after weeks of use. I would recommend it to sensitive dogs. ... show more

Overall seems like decent dog food. We switched our dog from Taste of the Wild to this food after she was consistently burping. This seems to agree with her based on her stools and frequency. However, Taste of the Wild seemed to make her coat a bit shinier a than this food. My complaint to Amazon and WARNING to anyone else buying this food is to check the expiration date of the bag you receive. I had this food on auto-ship and recently cancelled after receiving back to back shipments of dog food with expiration dates within a month! I would NEVER choose a bag that close to the expiration date. Especially when spending $60+ a bag. I haven’t been able to find this food in local pet stores or on Chewy, so I’m now going to switch my dog to a different brand. ... show more
