I want to write a sonnet for these jeans. Love is not strong enough to describe how I feel about them. First, they’re actual freaking cotton. A fabric made from plants, in nature. Stunning. Second, they are a perfect, comfortable rise. Not low, but not not covering the belly button. Finally, they are wide enough legs that I don’t look like a townie, but have a BIT of fitted-ness (is that a word?) in the hips, thighs, and bum. While I ordered new jeans, the package was obviously opened and tried on. I tried them on over some leggings and threw them in the wash. The fit is very loose, no elastic, so they definitely wear more like old school jeans which is nice. People mentioned that they ran big, I ordered my normal size. They are a looser fit, but I just think that’s the style of the jean. A straight leg, not meant to be tight, more of a boyfriend fit. I gave them 4 rather than 5 stars because on me they didn’t seem like even a medium rise (more of a low rise) I like them though! I find the quality of a Lucky Brand jeans to be good. They are soft, flattering, with a minimal amount of stretch. They are medium weight denim, I haven’t worn them out or washed them yet, so I can’t speak to that (only tried them on). I’ll update my review if they stretch out throughout the day when I get around to wearing them. I do wish that Amazon had a price match when things were purchased during a certain timeframe. The price on these is so variable, they decreased over $20 from when. I initially purchase. I’d say give them a try if you’re on the fence. UPDATE: They do stretch out with wear so much that they don’t even fit me now. You could size down 1 or 2 sizes. I need to return these, which I’m bummed about. I obviously did not wash them, so that could maybe help the problem. But an FYI - the quality on these is excellent and the seller is also excellent. So I had never worn lucky jeans before a little skeptical because I had been wearing a different brand more expensive but worked for me, but these were a little cheaper and I took a chance. Their sized by your waist and the insane so I googled what size my waist would be by the jeans size offere and then I measured a pair of jeans that fit me perfect from the length of my pants to the crotch area so I wear a 33 x 30. I received the pants in one day they are awesome.!! Fit perfect and the length is on point! 100% recommending these to my friends and family and will be purchasing more! If you get the right size and you do the correct measurements, you don’t need them to be stretchy. They’re very comfortable the minute you put them on you will know you’re in the right size. I am so glad I didn’t try to go smaller or bigger went with my measurements and they’re perfect. ... show more

These are not first quality Lucky Brand jeans. Ordered size 8 and I have 3 other pairs of the same style in size 8 that were purchased both in a store and here on Amazon all of them fit fine, these were significantly smaller at the waist. Also the fabric is nothing like the others I have. It is half the weight of normal denim but it is not like the typical stretch denim which is usually thinner, these are just cheap. I suspect these are either irregulars that did not pass quality control or they are fake Lucky Brand. In addition to that, the jeans arrived with the clear packaging envelope completely torn open and just stuffed in the outer shipping envelope with the jeans.     • My perfect jeans
I am forever looking for the perfect pair of jeans. I never write reviews but I felt it was worth it for this one. I am usually between a size 8 and a size 10 and based on the reviews and the sizing chart I bought an eight. It fit very nicely but actually was a little bit loose which was a nice surprise. After only being to find skinny jeans out there, it was great to find a pair that didn’t cling. I have broader hips and thighs and calves (althetic build) and a narrow waist and am always fighting the waist gap. These have no gap whatsoever, stay up without a belt and keep their shape through a few wears before washing. I liked them so much I bought a size 6 just to see if I could get away with it... and I could! Those fit as well though a little more fitted. Nice to have the option. They are as comfortable as wearing yoga pants to me... just enough give to keep things in place but yield when sitting cross-legged or crouching down.
