I was so skeptical about ordering a pair of ankle boots for a few reasons. So many are listed as genuine leather but then as you read the description it says genuine man made faux leather. Makes it so hard to make a good decision when you have to research so closely. Also when you read the reviews many times they do not match the product at all. Then there are those who have some terrible unbelievable reviews and some are nearly perfect. I know people have a lot of different tastes and expectations but can’t we just give a honest straightforward review. I went ahead and ordered the boots based on the fact I had purchased a pair of Lucky Brand boots a few years ago and have been very happy with them. I’m glad I did. I like my new black ankle boots pretty good. They are very similar to my original pair except the color and 2 zippers. I hope they will be as comfortable as my first pair. Time will tell. Cute real leather boots for the price. I got the wide in case I want to wear heavy socks or tights. One thing I find to be a negative is the different prices by size. That’s just ridiculous! Brick and mortar stores don’t do that. In fact no one does except sellers on Amazon.

These are really cute! Super soft leather. Well made, zippers look like they’ll last. They run a little big IMO. I left off a star since the photos don’t full show how perforated they are.

This is my second pair of the Lucky Women's Basel Boot. My first pair was purchased from the brick & mortar Lucky Brand store last Thanksgiving weekend. I absolutely fell in LOVE with that first pair in the Toffee color. My only complaint was that it was a little tight across the ball of my feet but that was easily remedied by taking them to my local shoe repair and having them stretched. Once I did that they were perfect! So perfect in fact that when I saw them here on Amazon I jumped at the chance for another pair, this time in the Italian Olive suede. This pair was perfect right out of the box with no need for stretching which I attributed to the material being suede and softer by nature. And the rubber sole means no slippery break-in time - they feel like sneakers! I've worn them about a half dozen times now (one day walking all over downtown) and they are amazingly comfy and supportive as is the first pair in Toffee. They have the perfect heel height for comfort AND style. I've worn both pairs with skinny jeans, skirts and dresses and I get compliments every time. My only note about sizing is that I usually wear a 7 in closed toe shoes but found the 7 to be a bit too big so sized down to a 6.5 which fits like a glove. My feet are narrow so I'm not sure how gals with wider feet would do in these boots especially given that I needed the first pair stretched a bit, but I refuse to wear shoes that are even a tiny bit uncomfortable so maybe those that don't have that as a priority won't mind a little snug-ness around the balls of the feet. I've read that some who bought these boots felt they haven't held up well, especially when worn in wet weather. This has not been my experience. In fact I just wore the Olive suede ones many days in a row and as I mentioned above walking all over downtown one day and they still look gorgeous and brand new. We've had a ton of rain lately, but I did not wear them in the wet weather because I didn't want them to get wrecked as is my habit whenever it gets rainy. I generally wear rain boots or water proofed UGGS when it rains so I don't ruin my nicer shoes, but that's easy for me since I live in SoCal and we have long dry spells between wet weather. Hope this review helps those who are considering these awesome boots. My advice: BUY THEM! For this price they are fantastic! I may actually get a third pair! ;-)

I've had numerous pairs of these Lucky Brand zippered Basels bootie. All of my pairs of these shoes the zipper either gave up immediately or eventually it wore out and would split/no longer zip properly. This shoe's zipper arrived ALREADY split and unable to use - on a supposedly brand new shoe! I have completely given up on these shoes, which is sad because they are adorable. If Lucky Brand would just fix the zipper problem on all these bootie shoes.....it's a problem that has existed since at least 2016 when I started buying them. This shoe feels very comfortable, although not enough heel cushioning than I would prefer but still an affordable and overall durable shoe for wearing to work or church for several years as long as they don't get severely scuffed.

I have a really hard time buying shoes online because I have a high arch and I usually need to buy Vionics or Naturalizer to make sure they don't hurt my feet. I was surprised that these boots had good arch support and good cushioning. I also didn't want too high of a heel because I'm already taller than my husband, so that's annoying. These shoes have a heel of about 1.5 inches and they're pretty cute. they have zippers on both sides so easy on and off. The sides are length, rather and they barely come to your ankle so if you're looking for something higher, keep looking or you'll definitely want to wear socks with these. I am a true size 8 1/2 and they fit perfectly. I have a narrow heel and they're not slipping off so that's good. I would recommend.

I'm a huge Lucky Brand fan and every pair of shoes I got fit just right. My favorite boots are about 14 yo by now and needed to be replaced. These shoes are nice with small cut out however leather is very thin and it makes shoes unstable if it makes sence. These are a bit bigger but fit oddly and very uncomfortable. I'm keeping these but a bit disappointed.
