  • Excellent Value But a Few Things to Consider
Size: Queen Style: Adjustable Base Only
The bed is very well built and works flawlessly and almost silently. My 12-inch foam mattress isn't as supple as some but conforms to the lift patterns reasonably well when there is weight (me) on the bed. I did have some problems. First, the Amazon delivery was promised in a couple days. That changed as soon as I purchased the bed. For four or five days, I received messages that delivery was imminent in a day or so. I suspect the Amazon warehouse was waiting until there were enough deliveries east of Atlanta to send a truck. There was considerable lack of candor, almost to the point of cancellation of the order. The queen-size bed's shipping weight is around 140 lbs. and the box is difficult for one or even two persons to manage. On reading the directions, I discovered that the manufacturer recommends "three or four" people to attach the legs and invert the bed without using the legs as pivot points (possible damage from the weight). I live in a retirement community in which everyone has a bad back. Hmm. It is possible for one person to manage this without having to lift 140 lbs, but it's not for the faint-hearted. Make the underside connections first (2 minutes), then attach the three legs on a long side. Lifting the same long side, turn the bed over, working around the bed to ease the legs to the floor. It's then relatively easy to raise the other long edge of the bed a bit more than 12 inches to screw in the legs on the other long side. (I used a step stool, but a stack of books would work.) I also placed furniture sliders under all the legs to make it easy to shift the bed into place. This same method would be easier (and safer) with two people, one of whom would steady the bed. The last problem is that there seems to be no easy way to attach a headboard. But that isn't a major problem if you use a wall-hung bedboard or one with legs that can be propped against the wall and attached and straightened with small blocks. ... show more

  • BEST THING I ever got for myself!
Size: Queen Style: Adjustable Base Only
I absolutely love everything about this! It was so easy to put together (however I needed my son's help to carry and flip it over). I love that I can raise my legs and head to zero gravity position and sleep. The light on the remote does go out pretty quickly but not a deal breaker. I should have bought one of these sooner. Do yourself a favor and get an adjustable bed. ... show more

  • Easy Set up Easy Pairing
Size: Queen Style: Adjustable Base Only
Set up was easy and I did it by myself. 61 yrs old. It's quiet and pairing was so easy. The height is great. Would have given 5 stars but had issues with delivery. I will be buying another one for my son soon.

  • It works!
Size: Queen Style: Adjustable Base Only
Loving the adjustability. It’s super heavy and likely requires two people to set it up. I did it myself. I didn’t need the other model with vibration etc. this has up and down for legs and head. Memory, go-flat button. That is all I wanted. Install : I removed my old box and mattress. Unhinged the bed frame from the headboard and spread the frame out. Opened this base in the middle and laid it on it side. After unpacking I screwed in six legs, no tools needed. Plugged in the power cord and tipped the base up flat. I reconnected my bed frame to the headboard with the new base sitting inside of it. Perfect fit! ... show more

  • Amazon Warehouse item may not be described fully
Size: Full Style: Adjustable Base Only
For starters, I spent hours researching adjustable beds and wanted to make sure that the one I got would be suitable for my husband who would be transitioning from a hospital bed to his bed at home. The Lucid L300 had positive top reviews with many sources that evaluated beds. I ordered a full size bed as it would fit the current bed frame that we have. As I was checking out, I noticed that there were other sellers of the bed. Amazon Warehouse was shown to have one that had a condition that indicated that it may have been returned, would be in the original packaging but the box may be damaged. The price was a little less than the new one I was going to get so I opted to purchase the one from the Amazon Warehouse. Delivery! This is where things got a little stressful. The bed was expected to be delivered on Friday, my day off work but on Thursday, I got a message that the bed would be delivered sometime that day. Right as I was heading into a meeting with my husband's therapy team, I got a call from the delivery driver who was at my house but wouldn't drive up my driveway due to her truck being too tall and the trees that line our drive would be in her way. I had no way of rushing to meet the Amazon driver and she basically just said OK and hung up. Later on, I did get a notification that allowed arrangements to be made for another delivery attempt the next day. The bed was delivered on Friday. The box had been taped with a heavy duty duck tape. When it was opened all appeared to be just like new. Individual pieces were in plastic bags like I would expect from the factory. But then as I was examining the underside of the bed to figure out where the legs got attached, I noticed that the wire that runs from the motorized lift mechanizism to the power cord had been spliced. I've attached a couple of pictures to show the area. The outer cover of the wire was stripped and each of the individual wires had black electrical tape around them. This was not what I expected at all. Time and options for me were not abundant as it has been an ordeal preparing our home so my husband could be released from the hospital. I decided to proceed with setting the bed up. It is a bit heavy for one person to maneuver the bed onto the legs that screw into place but after some careful thinking I realized that I could put the legs on one side of the bed and then set the bed down on those legs and then from the opposite side that was resting on the floor I could carefully lift the frame to attach the remaining legs. Once the bed was in position I plugged in to power cord and gratefully it worked. The remote had signs of wear which I've included a picture of. It works and for now that's what matters. I did make a call to Amazon and spoke to a women who listened patiently as I described how having spliced wires was not in any way indicated in the Amazon Warehouse description of the bed. She offered to have the bed picked up and issue a full refund. Because of the delivery complications already experienced I declined the offer and decided to keep the bed. She said she issued a $30 credit to be used on Amazon purchase but so far I can't find any where in my account that shows I have a credit to use. Bottom line....be aware that Amazon Warehouse items may not be accurately described and could be repaired. In my case, due to the nature of this item being electrical, had I known it had some wiring work done on it, I would have paid the full price for a new item. The best news to this story is that my husband loves this bed. It is far quieter than the hospital bed he was in for the last couple of months. I selected the Inofia full size hybrid mattress and it is working well in making him as comfortable as possible as he continues with his healing process. I like that it fit perfectly within the queen size wood bed frame that we have. ... show more
