I have a daughter who loves doing her own nails. She has all the gel stuff she needs and will spend hours getting the design she wants for whatever occasion. I thought it would be nice to have a small dust collector for when she's grinding off the old and getting ready for the new. Unfortunately, I didn't realize this was a unit that needed to be plugged in. It would have been so much better if it had a rechargeable battery to give it a little more portability and so much easier to use. The unit itself works alright. I think it is a little loud for the amount of suction it provides, but it's not too bad. It is large enough to fit a hand so you don't have to be too careful about where you are, but it does have a cheap plastic feel to it. If it gets knocked off the table, I don't suspect it would last very long so be careful. Considering the current price (approximately $27) I think it's probably reasonable, but I don't think it's worth getting one for everybody.

I got this because doing nails at home was getting messy, especially when filing acrylic or gel. Dust would end up everywhere, and I wanted something that could help keep my workspace cleaner without adding a lot of extra steps. The first time I used it, I placed it under my hands while filing and immediately noticed a difference. The suction pulled in a good amount of dust as I worked, which kept the area much cleaner than usual. Being able to control the suction level made it easier to match the intensity of the task. For lighter filing, I used a lower setting, and for more heavy work, I increased it. This is my first time trying a nail dust collector. It is definitely practical if you do your nails a lot. It helps keep your workspace neat and tidy. It comes with a plug (not rechargeable) and a dust brush. I actually ended up loving the brush because it is soft and helps remove any filings/dust off the nails before polishing them. The collector is a decent size for what it is. If it were any larger, I think it would be too bulky. It isn't the most comfortable thing to rest your hand on but it serves its purpose. I think it would be a lot more comfortable if it weren't as tall because your wrist wouldn't be at such an awkward angle. It has several speed settings. I didn't find the lower ones to be very useful. They didn't seem to do much. The higher ones offer better suction but come with a much louder noise. I couldn't imagine the noise level being suitable for a salon where other people are working in close proximity to you. The unit itself feels sturdy enough for occasional use but I would question if it had enough oomph and heft to stand up to everyday salon use. It is easy to use and clean. The filter can be reused. A hair dryer or brush can be used to clean it off. I just bring the unit outside, tap the filter on our back deck railing, and use a soft brush to gently clean it. Easy peasy!

I love this nail dust collector! Itâs so easy to use and clean. The unit consists of a base, a filter, and then a top plastic piece. They all nest together and are easy to take apart to rinse the filter when needed and then stick back together when dry. It also came with a cute dusting brush! I am noticing that the brush bristles fall out easily but the dust collector just keeps them in one spot so itâs easy to clean up. The unit is a little large but to me that is a plus as it gives a larger surface to work over. Itâs extremely lightweight and easy to move around and store. It must be plugged in to work (not rechargeable/portable). The suction has various strengths by turning the knob. It takes a couple seconds to reach full power. I feel like anything less then full power seems a little weak but when fully on the device works so well! It was amazing to finally feel like Iâm not breathing in a ton of nail dust (gross!) Overall I highly recommend this dust collector!
