Description

The Strobe II modular motorcycle helmet continues the tradition of LS2 offering high performance along with high value. The Kinetic Polymer Alloy (KPA) shell offers state-of-the-art energy managing flexibility. The Strobe II meets or exceeds the ECE 22.06 rotational energy management criteria using LS2’s proprietary Advanced Rotational Energy Management (AREM) technology. ECE homologated as both an open face and full-face (ECE P/J rated), this helmet offers amazing flexibility and is able to be used with the chin bar down for highway riding, or up when circulating a parking lot, stopped to take a photo, or talking to your riding buddies at a rest stop. A convenient built-in, drop- down sun shield adds to this flexibility and makes it a breeze to get the shield up and out of the way when entering a tunnel or shadowed area. Removeable liner with special flex-crown system is super comfortable and easy to keep fresh. There’s no other helmet at this price-point that can compete with the Strobe II’s performance, comfort and flexibility. Meets or exceeds ECE 22.06 and DOT FMVSS standards. Intermediate oval fit. I wasn't sure if I was going to like this helmet or not this is my second helmet I needed two so I can wear a helmet when my son's riding the bike with me. But I really like it. It's not crazy heavy it feels sturdy and it's comfortable. It is also pretty dang quiet at highway speeds, it's quieter than my bell so that is a really nice surprise. I also really like the flip down sunglasses they work well they may even be polarized but I'm not 100% on that. ... show more

This is overall a great helmet. I have had it almost a year now and have clocked 1-2k miles with it. I live in Hawaii so the temp is always on the warmer side but not blistering hot like some places down south. Mostly in the 80's some times 90's and on a cold day 60's. This helmet does not feel overly heavy, does not get overly hot. I was a little concerned about the top vent but I have not had issues overheating and the chin vent is like a chin window and lets a ton of air in to circulate. The visor is easy to open and close, the incorporated shade is decent though with the sun going straight into your eyes it isn't enough. It is also hard to clean. I don't use the open helmet option as much as I thought. I bought this because I have glasses and it was a pain having to take off and put on my glasses each time I put on my full face helmet. Unfortunately this helmet did not solve that problem. Still have to take off my glasses to put on and take off my helmet even with the chin bar up. That said, it's roomy inside without feeling loose, unsecure or bulky and my glasses don't bump into anything. Like it a lot, will keep it but may go back to a regular full face helmet with a auto adjusting face shield like my last one just for the convenience of it ... show more

Not Amazon's fault. Motorcycle helmets come in 3 shapes, round oval, intermediate oval (the most common), and long oval. The LS2 Strobe helmet has always been a long oval shaped shell. If you have a long oval head, you have to have that shape of helmet. LS2 comes out with the new LS2 Strobe II which looks just like the original Strobe except that it has a little more snappy styling. I contacted LS2 and several motorcycle shops all of whom said they couldn't see a shape listed in the documentation but agreed with me that a Strobe is a Strobe and that it should therefore be a long oval shell. I took the bate and ordered one. Guess what, not only is it not a long oval, it is instead a round oval, meaning it is about the same distance front to back as it is side to side. If LS2 wanted a new helmet design, give it a new name too. Buyer beware, unlest you have a very small, round head, stay away from Strobe II. Kudos to Amazon for cheerfully accepting a return and promptly returning my payment. ... show more

Lots of features and flexibility. Sun visor is nice with a easy slider to put up or down from the bottom edge of the helmet. At slower speeds I ride with the upper modular open/up. I ordered the xxxl and the helmet fits fantastic. The only complaint for some might be the weight. My neck is strong and I don't notice the weight but my wife mentioned that it is much heavier than her different brand helmet when she tried mine on lol ... show more
