Description

The LS2 Rapid II full face motorcycle helmet is an evolutionary update of our best selling Rapid. Rapid II uses three shells for an even better fit and all- day comfort. The shell is now made from our exclusive Kinetic Polymer Alloy, and material that blends microscopic levels of aramid fibers into a high-end polymer, allowing for amazing energy management. The Rapid II meets the stringent ECE 22.06 safety standard and includes LS2 proprietary Advanced Rotational Energy Management (AREM) system to better handle rotational forces. The adjustable, quick change, toolless shield is made from optically correct Class A polycarbonate. The comfort padding is removable so you can keep it as fresh as new. The helmet fastens using LS2’s popular DOT approved quick- release buckle system. Meets or exceeds DOT standards. Intermediate oval fit. DOT approved. Meets the FMVSS 218 Standard.

Has great visor replacement options. Mounted my cardo easily. Cleans up nicely. Super sturdy, doesn’t feel cheap. No scratches since I’ve been riding (4-5 months) I love it. Been using it for about a month now and i’m loving it so far ordered a large and it is pretty snug love how easily the visor slides up and down so far i’ve only gotten up to 80 on the interstate and the wind noise is not bad but going 65-70 on the highway wind noise is almost nothing i can definitely hear my exhaust though and everything around me overall im loving it i can wear my glasses no problem and i also mounted a cardo spirit no problem ... show more

The helmet itself fit very well and seems well made. I ended up returning the one the Amazon sent me since they sent me a used helmet even though it had the original sticker still on the visor. It was not in any type of original box. No manual no paperwork. It was just bouncing around inside of its dust cover in the brown shipping box that Amazon sent it in. I actually bought the newer version of this helmet direct from cycle gear the LS2 Rapid III. In my opinion, it was completely inappropriate for them to send me a helmet that was used and returned as there is no way for me to verify that it was not actually used on the street or dropped or damaged in any way. Something that I’m staking my life on is too important of a purchase so as I said, I’ve returned it and went to cycle gear and bought one brand new the newer model for only $15 more. ... show more

    • Good helmet but it leaks air on the right side
Its quieter than most but the right side of the visor doesnt quite seal making it a lil noisy, ive checked the tightness of the visor mount , made sure the visor is fully seated in , everything but i still have a small gap between the visor & seal on the helmet. The size runs small , if you measure for a large then buy a XL . Go ahead n order a pinlock cause the visor fogs up really bad ... show more

I've always worn skid lids or open face helmets. I haven't worn a full face since I started riding 20 years ago. I started riding with a new group of guys a month ago. On our first long ride together, I was not comfortable with my half helmet and goggles. We did a good bit of highway riding that day. We planned to go on another long ride two weeks ago. I don't know why, but something pushed me to look for a full face. I searched, read reviews, tried on, etc. I settled on the LS2 because of reviews, the price, and the graphics. It came to me Friday before my long ride. I tried it on when it came in. The fit was great, the field of vision was excellent, and it was so lightweight. On Sunday we rode. As the fates would have it, I didn't make it home on my bike. I went down at about 35-40mph. I summersault, I felt the helmet hit 3 times. Needless to say, I had some broken bones, but I didn't have a head injury or a concussion. The helmet lasted me one ride, but it was the best money I ever spent. ... show more

This helmet is very comfortable, for this price range the value for money is great and made with very good quality. As first helmet is perfect, functionality is great, I like that you can open the visor from the center, the visor has a very good scratch resistant. It is not fog resistant. Noise level is ok, not the quietest but I used it for rides over 2 hours long and it was fine and it feels very light. At this price range this is the best helmet you can find ... show more
