Just received my LS2. I'm a returning rider, been out of the game for a good 15 years. I wanted a nice inexpensive helmet, so I purchased the LS2 in size XXXL, and it fits perfect! I wear a size 8 fitted ball cap if you need to use that as a reference. The flip up and chin strap release both work very well. Probably the most comfortable helmet I've ever worn. I'm not one to write reviews, so the fact that I took the time to do this one, and give 5 stars should say something. ... show more

This helmet seems to be of quality construction. All of the stitching is well made. The cloth piece that goes under your chin comes out easily which can be annoying, but it's more of an issue of I need to stop accidentally grabbing it when pulling down the front of the helmet. The helmet is a bit narrow and was uncomfortable for my ears at first, but it broke in after an hour or two of wearing it. The visor is overly stiff to lift, which is the only issue a truly have with it. If it wasn't for that, I would give it 5 stars. It honestly is a far better helmet than I expected for the price. ------------EDIT:------------- After having this for a few months and getting out on a few rides with it I can say it is a great helmet. It does have the spaces in the sides to add an incorporated headset. I only have to negative things to say about it. First off it chips somewhat easily so it will get some dings if you drop it from a short distance (not a big deal). The other issue is it fogs really bad at stoplights and in cold weather. When it's warm the fog clears almost immediately after you start moving again, but in the cold it won't unfog even if you open the visor a bit. The pictures are from immediately after a short ride in ~35°F weather. So as long as you don't plan to ride when its really cold you should be fine. ... show more

I just received this helmet today. It was packaged well and no damaged observed. Two plastic stickers peal right off the shield and goggle. I wear an XL full face and ordered this as an XL as well. It fit like a glove! I absolutely like the ratchet chin strap! The drop down shaded goggle is a super nice touch and very simple to operate via a sliding lever on the left side of the helmet. The clear shield feels sturdy yet easy enough to open and shut. I can feel a some air when I open the front vent completely at hiway speed. Its not overwhelming. There are two settings for the front vent. There is a piece of material on the front that stretches under your chin to keep unwanted air out. It does not interfere with overall comfort. The face of the helmet comes right up when you press the release button. I am able to keep my glasses on when putting on and taking off the helmet. Thats a major bonus for those who wear glasses. Finally for my test ride, I wore my Bose noise cancelling in-the-ear headphones. Again, they stayed in putting on and taking off the helmet. With the helmet completely shut and the noise cancelling on, I was able to enjoy music very clearly up to around 70mph. Anything beyond that and I'd start to hear some "popping" from the noise cancelation feature. With noise cancelling off, there was a lot of road noise and thought I could still hear the music, I did have the volume maxed out. The helmet itself does not look oversized. Overall I am thinking this was a good purchase and Ill be enjoying a lot of riding time with this helmet. ... show more

I ride a Harley and have a couple of half helmets I throw on with ease. I went looking for a more substantial helmet for those longer colder winter or late night rides. I wanted a modular design where the face lifts up and away when desired. I found this helmet and could not be more pleased. I am very impressed with the look, design, and function. I even more impressed with the price. Sizing runs a little on the snug side so if you are a solid medium then you should order a large. The clear face shield comes pinlock ready so I also purchased the pinlock fog resistant insert lens. Easy install and a must have to prevent the shield from fogging up which is so common with full face helmets. Not a problem at speed but when it's cold and you are stuck in traffic....we all know the fogging is inevitable. The pinlock lens is the cure. Now I know you can just lift the full frontal face to the up position...but when it's cold and biting I just as soon prefer it down. The internal flip down sun shade is quickly and easily deployed while riding and so convenient. The ratchet style strap buckle is also a step up from the old hook and look D-ring style. Simple and fast. This is also one of the best looking helmets I have seen on the road. Solid five stars ...i'd give it more if I could...LS2 STROBE MODULAR ROCKS!! ... show more
