Description

The LS2 Challenger GT is the most technically advanced touring helmet LS2 has ever built. The shell is made from a pre-preg matrix of materials called "HPFC." The matrix is a proprietary blend of materials including fiberglass. HPFC is extremely light weight. LS2 uses lasers to shape every vent hole in the shell. The hole tolerances are so tight that we don't use glue to adhere any of the venting or gaskets. LS2 double injects the material in the eye port gasket to create the best possible seal. The Challenger GT shield is the thickest (3MM) Class "A" optically correct on the market. The shield covers the largest eye port in the industry, which provides the best possible field of view. The Venturi vents on the top rear chimney are active, which means they can be opened or closed depending on the rider's desire. The shell meets and exceeds both DOT & ECE certification standards.

  • Standard > Carbon Fiber
Size: Large Color: GLOSS CARBON
I’ve been riding motorcycles for about 10 years now and have used LS2s helmets from the start. My first helmet was an LS2 Esprit, my second was an LS2 Corsa, my third was an LS2 Phoenix. When I got my Challenger Carbon GT (seller: Accessories International), I expected nothing short of the fantastic quality I’ve come to experience with these helmets. And in all fairness, in that department, the Challenger Carbon GT delivers. It feels premium, adequately light, and looks great. My primary issue with it however is this strange bump on the left inner side of the helmet. There is a weird bump that lands right where my left ear sits. And so if I wear the helmet for more than 5 minutes, it makes my left ear extremely tender. I know that I got the right size, because like I said, not my first LS2. This meant that I just could not wear the Challenger Carbon GT. When I did force it on my head and accept the pain, I was greeted by Double D Rings. LS2, why does your highest end helmet have Double Ds when your normal helmets have quick release? Let’s just use quick release everywhere. It makes life so much easier. With my ear tender as a mofo, I decided to take the helmet off, and along with the helmet, popped off the cheek pads, every, single, time. In all fairness to LS2 however this seemed more like a defect than anything. I decided to return the helmet and I accidentally ordered the regular Challenger GT (seller: Harley Davidson Wisconsin) and that was the best happy accident I’ve ever had. I saved $100 bucks, got a helmet that didn’t hate my left ear, got a quick release buckle and cheek pads that stay in place. Sure, it doesn’t look as good as the Carbon, but everything else makes the trade offs so much more worth it. If you’re in the market for a new helmet, with a long oval head. I can happily recommend the Challenger GT. I would just strongly recommend staying away from the Carbon Fiber edition. Update from August 2020 I just installed a Sena 50S in this thing. And I must say. The speaker placement is an absolute atrocity. The space provided for installing the speakers is the n your cheeks instead of your ears. Knocking one star off. ... show more

  • Too heavy.
Size: Large Color: Blue Carbon
If you like other people are looking for a carbon fiber helmet to reduce weight The LS2 Helmets Challenger Carbon GT is not the way to go. This helmet looks beautiful. The one I received was damaged the click pad did not hole in place meaning defective but what turned me down was the weight since I received I notice it was too heavy, also too big all around and everyone knows the LS2 used to rung small, like they put a XXL shell with the L size lable on it. Well I put it on the scale and weighing 1540 g instead of 1290 G for a large size, medium weight is 1272 g so I returned he same day I received and for more surprise I also received the Scorpion EXO Tech carbon which is a modular helmet same size L weighing 1520 G. then I went to a motorcycle Dealer store and put the LS2 Challenger F no carbon fiber on the scale weighing 1520 G too. How could this be possible. The main reason carbon material is used is to reduce weight. I hope this review help somebody. ... show more

  • Lightweight
Size: Medium Color: Carbon
Really like the weight. It feels super light. Great ventilation and comfort. Great vision and the inner visor is really long, not like other ls2 that the visor stays in the middle of your nose. I'm normally size M and this is no different. The only thing I dislike is the d-ring. I know is more secure but I'm not a fan of it. Other than that is my favorite helmet. ... show more

  • Outstanding service.
Size: Medium Color: Carbon
There was a mix up when I ordered my medium helmet however this worked to my benefit. I ordered a carbon but received the wrong one. I did try it on but it was tight so customer service not only sent the right product but a size up as well. Perfect fit....large is what I went with. It will only get better as I continue to wear it. Only thing I will change is the DD chin strap to a fidlock matte finish.. But that’s just personal preference but not an issue with the LS2 Challenger GT full face carbon Large helmet. DOT and ECE 22.05 certified. No Bluetooth hook up yet. No test ride with it on yet. I’m waiting on my LS2 Challenger Visor chrome silver pinlock ready. Which by the way, the helmet comes with anti fog insert. ... show more

  • Great helmet!
Size: Large Color: Solid Gloss Black
Not every person's head is the same and you may need a larger size. Consider ordering one size larger helmet than what the sizing chart states. This happened in my case and had to return original size medium even though chart sizing showed a medium would be a correct fit. The helmet is constructed very well. I would highly encourage you to consider this helmet as a top choice when selecting helmets. You will be happy with the fit and finish if you remember the comments I made above. ... show more

  • Finally something that fits
Size: 3X-Large Color: Blue Carbon Gold
I must have tested 100 helmets and none of them fit right. I have a BIG head, so its 3xl for me. I had issues with most helmets hitting or rubbing against my chin, this has more space so that doesn't happen. This is the closest thing I was able to find that was comfortable. The cheek pads could be a little nicer, but I am happy with it. Its really light helmet as you would expect with carbon. The Bluetooth integration could be better. I have a pack talk bold, I don't think the ear cups are deep enough and there is not a fantastic place to mount the Bluetooth module. Its noisy if you are not riding with the shield down. The drop down shade is almost too big, but I guess that is better then being too small. It comes with a pinlock and 2 bags to store in it. A good deal. ... show more

  • Looks great and good quality!
Size: Small Color: Carbon
It's a really nice looking, quality helmet. Has lots of features with the multiple vents and fog shield, etc. They fit a little tight at first, but will get better in time. Only problem I had was they didn't list as an open box item. It came with stickers pulled off, and full of fingerprints.

  • Love it BUT....
Size: X-Large Color: Propeller Black Titanium
I love the design and the fit. I also love the built in sun lens. BUT...the slider for the sun lens causes alot of wind noise in your left ear. If i put my hand over the gap where the slider is, it gets quiet. Maybe they need to install some felt or something to fill in the gap?🤷🏻♂️. But other that that i love it👍🏻Oh and it has places to install headsets too ... show more
