I finally found a king size bedspread that is large enough and covers my thick mattress and box springs !! I bought the Cal, king size in blue. It’s light weight, soft, very soft and looks nice on the bed. I plan on using it thru all seasons!!! I’ve washed it twice already(I have pets) it washes well, not wrinkled, but it still had slight creases from being packaged. It did not smell and I could have used it without washing first but I always wash new items. It functions very well on my large, tall, king size bed. All my problems are solved with this quilt. Problem #1: I've never found a bed cover that will completely cover my king size bed. This oversized King quilt covers my entire bed from below the bed frame on one side to below the bed frame on the other. I don't need to even use my irritating dust ruffle anymore. (I have a traditional King bed, not a California king, but I ordered the California King for extra coverage. It's very generously sized.) Problem #2: I have two kitty cats that love to sleep on my bed and hair it all up. I needed to be able to remove cat hair easily from my bed. Comforters and duvets were very difficult to get the hair off of, but I can just go over this thin quilt very quickly with my little pet hair remover/collector gadget and it's done in seconds. (It's the roller type with the collection compartment in the back) Problem #3: In the past I've always used puffy comforters, duvets, or thick heavy quilts, but then I would have to go to the laundromat to wash them; even with a duvet I still had to take the heavy comforter to the laundromat to be washed at least once a year. I needed something I could wash here at home quickly and easily. But with the king size bed, nothing I had ever tried before would ever fit into my machines. This quilt, even being an oversized California king, fits right into my old fashioned top loading washing machine and dries perfectly in my dryer. Now I can wash it whenever I want to. Also, not only did it come clean and perfectly dry on a normal wash (I used normal wash setting and gentle dry) but it also came out looking perfect, no wrinkles, no fading, no shrinking. I also love the fact that there are no threads to snag on this "quilt" (especially since my husband likes to play with the cats on the bed and that usually causes snags 🙄) and it looks very pretty in spite of the fact that it's not traditionally quilted. I thought I might just use this in the summer, but I love it so much I'm just going to layer more blankets underneath it for winter and use it year-round. I might buy another color for the winter, it's a really good value for the price. A note on the color: I don't know how the photos will come out looking on your screen, but I ordered the Bluish Grey and it is a true bluish Gray, imo. Not bright blue and not a dark grey. The lighting in the room when I took the pictures was a bit dark. ... show more

EDIT (7/31/2025) I ordered a dark blue kind size in May and interchange with another one. The blue can no longer be used in our Air BnB. After only 3 washes, it is pilling, AND it has a small hole. You can definitely feel it is thinner than my previous 3 - I have no clue why?? When it came out of the wash this past time. It was covered in little white balls, and as I proceeded to take them off (a lint roller did NOTHING) the fabric tore! Very disappointed to say the least! With guests arriving I had to run out to Walmart to buy a quilt set literally at last minute. (Just a note that after the first 2 washes - came out perfect. The 3rd wash - this white pilling ALL OVER.). And yes, I wash my quilts by themselves. How I wish this wasn’t the case as I love the design, but I don’t believe the same fabric is used for these quilts. First, I actually love these! I have 4 for my Air BnB, BUT when it comes to wrinkles they can be a pain. They are breathable which is great! We are in Eastern TN, so great for all year round. So, I have 4 and what I don’t like is that each one is a little different and I have ALL the same design. They are beautiful and even my husband has commented on how nice they are, so that’s a big one. Wrinkle resistance is an issuance and I have to steam them each time they come out of the dryer (on the wrinkle cycle.). If they were in my own house, not a big deal however they are in my Air BnB so it is a big deal. I love these way they feel, but I’m concerned about their durability. This particular King one seems to be made better than my 2nd King one - the biggest issue with this particular one is the constant wrinkles. The size could be a little bit bigger for hanging over the sides. I could get a bigger one, however washing would definitely be an issue then. ... show more
