  • Great Bat, High Bat Speed,
Fantastic bat... Very light, can generate much more swing speed than the heavy maple bats. Can crush long line drives with this bat. The ash wood has more flex and trampoline effect than maple. If you pay attention to the grain of the wood you will get more durability and performance of the bat. I have it pitches off the handle without it breaking. Ash flexes on impact (more than maple) the bonds between the grains will wear out over time and is more likely to break. I assume the bat will wear out or break more quickly than my maple bat. I bought 2 assuming the first will break at some point. The price is cheaper than many other maple or ash bats on the market. Even with the higher likelihood that it will break I use this bat as it allows for much higher bat speed and performance than more expensive models. ... show more

  • Great bat for only $20
Great bat for only $20. Feels great for an inexpensive ash bat. Nice and light - much lighter than most other ASA wood bats you find available. Has some pretty good pop. Doesn't feel like it's going to break or split at all... but it helps to hold the bat label up so you're making contact on the strong side of the barrel. I have two of these bats and would definitely recommend them to anyone who knows how to swing a wood bat - you will get plenty of life out of it ... show more

  • Can't recommend. I got the bat quickly
Can't recommend. I got the bat quickly, it looked decent. A bit rough around the handle, but whatever. $2 at the batting cages was all it took (about 20 swings) and this bat snapped completely in half. Now I've got a decent swing, but I'm only 5'7", 180, so it wasn't like I was smashing these. It didn't just crack, either, it dropped in pieces at my feet like that scene from The Natural. Not a great bat. ... show more

  • Great for the price
Ordered two of these, so far they survived a game, a couple of our big guys used them and they were still able to put balls over the outfielders. Definitely not a composite so unless your a true HR hitter don't have high expectations. Only reason for 4 stars is there is an obvious weight difference between both bats but both swung nicely. ... show more

  • the light weight was great. bought another one
Broke at the end of 1 full season. hit one off the end of bat, snapped in half. the light weight was great. bought another one. the 2nd one was much heavier so i returned it. i see another comment about the weights not being consistent. Unless you're Ted Williams, you will break this bat.

  • Ash is still the way to go
After buying and using this and a maple bat, I can say that I definitely prefer the ash. The ash is lighter and has a larger sweet spot - both of which make this my favorite. I've broken several of them over the past few years but at $20 a pop, what's the big deal? I'd be more upset at breaking a $50 bat. I don't buy into the Barry Bonds/MLB rage of the maple because I'm hitting the ball farther and making better contact with the ash. Sometimes, the old choice is still the best. My teammates have even started using my ash bat instead of the maple. Because of that, I'm buying another one just in case. ... show more

  • Great costume prop
I only used this a prop for my Harley Quinn costume. But it was light enough to carry around all night and a decent price. It worked perfectly for my needs.
